Infinite marines are excellent at pathfinding and making their way around obstacles in the open world, as well as pick up stronger weapons if they are in the vicinity and fire their weapons way more rather than firings a few shots and stopping like marines in other Halo games. They're also alot faster and can jump higher in that game but those are statistical changes, not new AI design.

what i notice is that CE chief wins almost every fight without marines, while 3 chief wins most of the fights with marines (or at least his backup does) - which makes sense, since the CE weapon roster is busted, and the 3 marines are also busted (in comparison to other marines). in fact, the only solo fight CE chief loses is the melee fight, which ALSO makes sense, because CE melee is wildly inconsistent
