@@EdiTheDon I mean this Loki is still technically apart of the Loki from the main MCU timeline. He just only became a variant once interference from the Avengers allowed him to escape imprisonment. But until that point the Loki in the show was still the same Loki that grew up with MCU Thor, he just ended up not being the Loki that got to reconcile with Thor.
@EdiTheDon11 ай бұрын
@jaydonmagan4694 Technically, when the Avengers went back in time in Avengers: Endgame, they did not go back in their own timeline, just to those closer in "tone" to their own. So the Loki that is part of the Loki mini series is not the Loki that was killed by Thanos.
@jaydonmagan469411 ай бұрын
@@EdiTheDon Clearly he’s not the Loki killed by Thanos. The Loki that was killed by Thanos was the Loki that personally reconciled with Thor. But even then, the Loki from the show still has the same exact early experiences primary Loki has up until the ending result of the NY invasion. And if show Loki didn’t escape, he would have ended up in the same places at primary Loki; reconciling with Thor and being killed by Thanos. For all intents and purposes show Loki and primary Loki are both the same Loki, it’s just that they ended up going through different experiences at a diverging point in time that caused them to become a bit different from each other. But they’d both still be the Loki that primary Thor grew up with, it’s just that Thor spent more time with primary Loki as show Loki was split off from the main timeline by accident.

I believe this was a fixed point. They are beyond the conundrums of even time. Kang saw to it that no matter what, this would be. Holding every branch by himself. No longer on a loop. No longer bound to one outcome. Loki would never kill his loved ones because his entire purpose now was ensuring their survival.

People will probably hate on this finale but it's truly very Marvel. It also gives a true redeeming arc. The movie version died for his family, never realizing his 'glorious purpose'. The show version pulled out of the timeline achieves a 'glorious purpose' but one where he sacrifices himself to hold the fabric of both time & all realities together for as long as he can... possibly 'for all time', which that phrase popped up a lot. He has his godly throne greater than Oden's but it has such a heavy burden with it that only THIS Loki at THAT time would have willingly taken on. I mean Loki at his start in the MCU would have aligned himself with 'He who remains' or even the pure incarnation of Kang the Conqueror or he would let reality die & learn to remake it in his image. Only going through everything he did with some self-actualizing along the way could we actually get this Loki who would sacrifice that hard for friends & of all things 'freedom'. I replayed the 'freedom is a lie' speech which was in the Avengers movie but also gets a paraphrase in season one. And he finds out even his freedom is a lie & learns that truth. Then he embraces the potential for freedom of the multiverse. Both Loki & Silvie know it's only 'a chance' but now he is ready to give up his freedom in order to have a chance to make the lie true. It's a 180 but it became a very believable one. The story has 99 problems but the finale ain't one.

Loki actually would not age undergoing the centuries of learning because he is periodically time slipping. He learns all he can from OB in one round before the loom blows up, then slips back to earlier and begins learning more in another round. Just like Bill Murray taking piano lessons in Groundhog Day. Also when Loki talked about having the conversation with HWR more than once I don't think he time slipped in that moment, I think the conversation up to then was Loki just acting like it was the first time to throw HWR off.

I wonder if the people who hate these sympathetic villains also hate that prisons in the states and Canada (the only ones i know) don't have the death penalty. Because prison is completely based on the concept of fixing the "villains". All events happened because Kang was controlling flow of time in past present and future in a certain way from the space outside time. And he created shit ton of paradoxes along the way, like the book with instructions, written by him but not really. Now it's Loki existing outside time holding every possible past present and future in his hands, because he lived through experiences in times and places that does not exist anymore and, in some manner, never existed at all. Does it mean he was always there? Is this why time stone is green and Dr. Strange was able to see other timelines in times, when other timelines should not have existed? 🤯

This series is GOD TIER! I would even rank it on the same level of Infiniti War. What a remarkable study into the character of Loki. Showing to us as an audience that he's so much more than what we saw him as way back in the very first Avengers movie. Shifting from power hungry villain to a selfless and strong-willed hero. I'm am happy that I experienced this show. It truly is one of if not the BEST projects Marvel has worked on since Infinity War. Loki's redemption arc is on par with Zuko's from ATLA! My only regret is that now that Loki is the overseer of the multivers, this only means that he will never see reunite with Thor ever again. Odin, Frigga, the people of Asgard and pretty much all of living beings that has ever existed will never see him, remember him or even know of his noble sacrifice and the burnen that he has to carry. The very last thing Thor thought of Loki was him being a psychotic murdering criminal. If only he knew what Loki has become now.

_Loki season two finale is deadset the best thing that Disney and Marvel have released in a loooooong loooooooooong time._ I really hope that Disney managment takes serious note. I was pleasantly surprised. I already loved the aesthetic of the TVA, but some of the elements of S1 and that awful Timely stutter was getting tiresome.....but everything is forgiven after that finale. That was a _FANTASTIC_ and well done Redemption Arc (great book by Alistair Reynolds btw...everyone should read it). Its the redemtion arc that his character deserved.....he went from a childish and self absorbed low tier villain that always just said 'its in my nature' as an excuse for his awful behaviour, to overcoming his immaturity and growing as a person to fully take responsibility for his actions....and not just responsibility for himself....but for literally everyone. He finally overcame the chip on his shoulder sbout always being in Thor's shadow....by totally forgetting that life and becoming his own person motivated by the Greater Good....inbthe process he ends up being the center of the tree, which is where he wanted to be....but he never understood the true burden that his father bore....now he does, and instead of fleeing, he overcame his earlier nature and became a real God. Ps. Did they just solve the Johnathan Majors problem by essentially getting rid of Kang? I know they were looking for a way to ditch him thanks to his alleged problematic behaviour ie the domestic violence charges

13:24 That’s not even Tom’s face. It’s just CGI. It’s too smooth!

Writers/ directors of "The Endless" were involved in the making of this and season one... of course it was good... except the episodes that didn't involve them, so those episodes clearly ended up stinking and resembling more of a sitcom... but if you didn't see "The Endless", go watch it now! Very creative and masterfully well done for how low budget it was. But the episodes written and directed by those from "The Endless" did very well and are the reason for this show's success.

COMMENT #2 Loki is the ONLY thing saving the MCU/DIsney at this point. And TBH that's kinda sad.

Maybe Loki's final words to Thor," the sun will shine on us again brother", will have a payoff later on and Thor might meet this Loki. Maybe Secret Wars or something?

Less Sylvie, no more weak Loki, more male characters, less boss girls.

If Frost Giants lives as long as Asgardians, who live 5000 years, a few centuries would be nothing. Especially considering Loki should be around the age of Thor, who is over 1500 years old.

5:05 his voice has bugged me from the start. It sounded *really* familiar. Then Iheard "Somebody's watching me". Dude sounds just like Rockwell half the time as HWR...

20:58 We didn't see her die on screen, so its possible she may survive.

Survive how, without any weapons or tech, she's just an ordinary ex-school principal without any memories of her time with HWR before protocol wipe everybody's minds. Personally, I think she bravely accepted her fate and was gobbled up. She just look like she was finally tired.

@@kmdreactsI'm not sure how she could either, but Marvel isn't a stranger to the "they aren't dead if you don't see a body" trope in storytelling. After all, I'm sure everyone thought Bucky was dead in the First Avenger from the fall, yet he still came back in Winter Soldier. I'll admit it's a stretch, and you're more likely right, but still it's a possibility.

@@spritvio639 😂😂 yhh, very true. I thought Bucky was dead until the mask reveal in the 2nd best marvel movie, Winter Soldier. I pray they don't though. Renslayer ending is fitting enough. After all the people and timelines she's pruned, comeuppance.
