Myles' bio father died when he was 4. Later his mom married a Methodist minister who adopted Myles and his brother. Hie's talking to his adopted dad. Who will be his hiding place when Rev. Kennedy passes? He loved Myles and brother like they were his own even giving them his name. Myles is speaking of his fear of losing another dad.

Fully fledged arena band here in the UK and on the cusp if headlining Download so I wouldnt say they are underrated, undervalued or underestimated here. However it totally bemuses me how their popularity in the US compares to here.

@@bryanlogue1 It's a real tragedy how they have hardly any traction here in the US. They can sell out the smaller venues in which they play, but hardly ever headline a festival or arena gig. I'd love to jump across the pond and see them in an actual arena concert!

I was lucky enough to see Tremonti play a home town show when I was in Orlando on vacation a few years ago. I'd kill to see AB do the same.

The first verse is written from Myles' wife's POV about her mother who passed during the recording of this album. The second verse is about Myles' stepfather whose last name he carries. The band has never performed this live.

You HAVE to see these guys, or just solo Myles in concert. They are just incredible. Spend the extra $$ and meet them if you can, they are better humans than they are musicians if you can believe that. Plus meet and greet fans get in first so you are pretty much guaranteed front row. This BAND is so good and unique due to 2 guys that are awesome guitarist and 2 guys that can sing awesome as well. Their music is written around guitar riffs and is driven by melody. Myles is my favorite vocalist in the world but Mark Fremont has a voice that is all good that you need to hear him sing alone. Pick a live, pro shot waters rising to hear how talented Mark is. Royal Albert hall would be a good one. Also from that show listen to words darker than their wings, it's a great song that has Mark and Myles bounce back and forth with singing verses and Myles shows why he is one of the best in the game

Hey brother I totally get what you are referring to with regard to the instrumentation and the crisp sound of Alter Bridge. It is the main reason I have been a fan since day one. AB are unique in the way the guitars compliment the bass and play off each other and then the drums are driving the tempo of the music. AB are the complete musical package, of sound, lyrics, verse, and story paragraphs - all wrapped up in a monster sound. Please keep up the AB reactions, please do Words Darker than their Wings live from the Royal Albert Hall, Cry of Achilles as they are masterpieces. Their latest album Walk the Sky is amazing too. Personally, it's very difficult for me to listen to this song because it embodies everything I fear in life.
