I would suggest not pulling filler that far out of the shielding gas column then it oxidizes, especially stainless. Interesting pattern you use too where you dip in and walk it for a few centimeters and then you dip again, I must try this one out. Great video.

Nothing wrong with normal masking tape, we use it all the time where i work which is predominantly class 1 work for petrochem industry👍👍

Thin stainless is hard to weld you need to start the arc and go

This kind of flanging system is a Nightmare in small diameter, the plates bend all over when you weld it and when you tak it pulls randomly

Expensive for gas. I pay £6 a month rental and then about £30 for a cylinder same size as yours
