I know this is an old video, but I just wanted to say beautiful! I have tons of Tim Holtz paper etc. I was looking thru KZbin for inspiration to do a strictly Tim Holtz themed journal. I’m never going to criticize anyone’s artistic attempt at ANYTHING.... I’ll just say I watched countless vids and FF they all of them. The junk journals either had very few pieces of any of the Tim Holtz collections, then the rest was filled w random, well....junk. Finally! I found yours and it was EXACTLY what I envisioned. It had the same theme and was cohesive throughout the entire book. Im also using a Vintage Book this time, rather than starting from scratch and binding. It will be a first for me. Your journal definitely helped me out w that. Anyway... BEAUTIFUL BOOK! Loved every page! Especially the way you made the book pages into envelopes! I’ll remember that!

Morning Gayle, have just watched this video, almost 4 years later, and I have enjoyed it soooo much. So much inspiration, what a beautiful journal, I simply love it. Even after so many years later there is so much "new" ideas for me to try, Thank you from the bottom of my heart, your channel is an essential to my daily life. Have a wonderful retreat this year, hope everything goes well and that you have a lot of fun with your friends, do wish I could also be there. Blessings and hugs, as usual, from Cape Town Diana

Hi Ms.Gayle! You just inspired me to do a Tim Holtz journal. I have 3 of his paper pads and some or maybe a lot to some people of his embellishments ,cards, washi and ephemera! After saying all that, I better! Your's came out amazing!!! I'll have to go back and forth to see how you did this and that. I also wanted to tell you that I didn't order Bingo cards from your friend.Thanks for trying to help me out. I'm not very good on down loading to print my own as how she sells her Bingo cards. But I did order and received mine from "A Vintage Parcel", they are thick. And then guess what? I found the game with all the cards, wooden circle numbers and cardboard placement circles at the church second hand store for a dollar the day after I received mine in the mail!!! Of course that would happened! Oh well I'll be able to share with other people. Okay Ms.Gayle have a wonderful beautiful amazing evening!!! P.S I didn't mean to write a book! :-))) Hugs!! ~Liz~

This is just amazing Gayle. I am in the middle of toying with my first craftyirina style of altered book and you have inspired me to finish it. Love your use of the yummy wallflower and all those pockets!! Hugs! :-)

Thanks so much, Liz! This one was fun and different...and took me forever to finish! But I loved the result! I was thinking of you today. I had a friend over and was showing her the beautiful Mrs. Cogs journals I have ( as well as Mom's for Mother's Day). She was as enamored with them as I am. Hugs to you, sweet friend! I will let you know my Mom's reaction to her gift. And Happy Mother' s Day to you! ❤️

Love doing Altered books. This is beautiful. Could you explain the difference between Tags and Project life cards please.
@gayleagostinelli_ct7 жыл бұрын
Hi Eileen! The Project Life brand cards are journaling cards sold in packages at Michaels, Joanns, etc. The tags I hand made. Then I also included some Tim Holtz brand journaling cards. Hope that answers your question! Let me know if not. 😜. Thanks so much for watching, Eileen! ❤️

I just found your channel. So excited. I can't wait to look through and find some more great videos. How have I not found you before now!?!? I'm sure you say it in a video at some point, but do you mind sharing who made the tab punch you used in this book for the top and side tabs? I like the size of it more than the ones I've found. Thank you for sharing
@gayleagostinelli_ct7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jamie! Welcome to my channel! I should keep you busy for awhile cuz I think I have over 130 videos now! Haha! 😂😂😂. That tab punch is from Stampin Up. It's discontinued, but you can some times find them listed on EBay. I heard it referred to as a round tab punch or a whale's tail punch. I got mine from my Stampin Up rep. She had a source that she was able to get me one. Good luck! Hope you can find one! And again welcome!! Hugs! ❤️

Watched this again since I have some of this paper, too. I don’t see a link to Crafty Irina’s tut for using scrapbook paper on the journal pages. Help? Thanks for showing us this gem!
@gayleagostinelli_ct6 жыл бұрын
Hi Lynn! Crafty Irina has a tutorial on how to prepare the book pages, not how to put the scrapbook paper on the page. I have a couple craft with me videos later after this video when I decorate an altered book. Can’t link on my phone but if you search altered book on my channel, I think you’ll find them! ❤️
