Positive Healing Vibes and prayers for everyone in Ian's path! You can hear those tropical storm weather outside our place. So many books in the library end up on the free shelf, then if someone doesn't take them they are burned because they have outlived their use. I've gotten books from the library that have never been read to. I feel like we are saving these books I just wish I could take more. Be safe💕🐞 Namaste 🥰

This is the book that threw me into the whole junk journaling world. By accident U Tube sent me the video of you first deconstructing and building this journal. My eccentric daughter wanted books without jackets that she wasn’t going to read but loved the raw spines being lined up and displayed on a shelf. I made her one and haven’t looked back. Thanks so much for being the gateway drug that brought me into this whole world!

I love this video as much as I loved the original one where you taught us how to do this. I'm hearing you about the love of birds. The older I get, I'm 60 today, the more sentimental I become and birds and bees are right up there. As someone who has worked in a library all my life, I can tell you that these days old books, especially the ones that don't get bought in the book sales end up being shredded. You/we really are preserving their lives. 🌷

(4:20) I love the idea of decoupaging napkins with glue mixed with brown watercolor. The very first dramatization piece about books and travel was awesome (a treasure I am always looking for in videos of creative people). (8:46) When I cut corners for tags, I should also glue those off-cuts to page corners (for either décor/cohesiveness or function of tuck spots).

Oh my gawd Natasha...you are hilarious!🤣 I love, love, love your videos...because they are informative and inspirational but mostly because you are so damn entertaining!! Good on you for trying to educate the naysayers about how we artist's give books a new life by repurposing them and saving them from the trash bin or an idle lonely life of sitting on the shelf of some dusty used book store, never to be read again! Love this! And that your machine decided to have a little party of it's own. Mine likes to do that, too. Love your enthusiasm, Natasha, plus your expressions, that you say, so relaxing and entertaining. It's like having a cup of tea with a friend, while you are showing your latest project to us. Thank you for your explanation about giving the book(s) a second life, because it was never allowed/able to fulfill it's first life. That eases my mind. I don't get angry at those who use maps .and books this way, but I know it would be difficult for me to do so. That is, unless I were to find a book or atlas that was not constructed or printed correctly. That was a lucky find for you!
