I just found you about a week ago and I cannot begin to tell you how blessed I’ve been!! Talk about binge watching!! To have such a gifted crafting teacher who is also my sister in Christ is truly the best of the best!! I love how you show us your thought process in choosing and doing. I’ve learned so much and can even feel myself relaxing in my crafting, hearing that wonderful southern drawl telling me, “it’s not a problem… Doesn’t bother me… Doesn’t have to be perfect”. Thank you so much and may God bless and keep you and all your loved ones always❤️🙏🏼

I love making these. I use a synthetic glue now due to the paper warp that happens with other glues. I love making the pockets out of 2 sheets folded into each other like a P-Chee sleave and covering with DSP. They last through a lot of pulls and tugs. Most of these composition books last 60 days depending how much you journal. They are very handing to have a sleeve pocket ever quarter way through.

May May, you made a sad bow. The way you make a happy bow, a bow that is always straight across, is to go around the front or back of the loop. If you go around front and it wants to slant then re tie it but go around the back of loop and it should be straight across, thus a happy bow! FYI. LOVED YOUR IDEAS!

Thank you! Maymay you inspired me with the first altered notebook video of yours I watched. (Years ago) I have made a handful of these for different people and themes even a baby book for my cousin who had twins and I thought this would be great for her to have at work or where ever to try and keep up with things she wanted to document with her busy w/twins life. I also made a camping journal, a travel journal for friends who travel and thought that would be fun to make notes on different places they have stayed. Thanks again, this turned out so cute.

I got a few of my favorite teenaged girls together and we altered composition books a few years ago. I chose to cover the black part however the way you showed us makes much more sense. I let the girls choose all the fibers, ribbons, etc and we tied around the middle of the book. Some added beads, charms, etc. Then they used ribbons, fibers as bookmarks...just in case they wanted to easily access a favorite moment or experience it even to keep track of which page they were on. Also the fibers were used to attach a favorite writing instrument. I wondered how the divider part worked. Loved the pockets, too.
