oh we're so back. You know the whole spiel, there are plenty of ways to get gear in the borderlands games blah blah blah. But we all know the best way is the SLOTS. and i think you know what time it is
The rules for the run are pretty simple. I can only use gear attained by gambling, Melee, action skill, and cars are allowed, I am allowed to pick up other gear to sell for money, and guardian rank is turned off. There are also some specific slots related rules too but I'll talk about them when they’re relevant. First I have to do Pandora gearless to get to them.
I chose Zane for this run, he’s got the personality of a gambling enthusiast and his abilities make gearless pandora relatively easy, plus his double barrel skill gives clone a copy of the gun you’re holding effectively doubling my gambled power. Also if I chose Moze I couldn't use her action once off of Pandora without it being basically cheating, Zane’s essentially the perfect character for this run. The start of Pandora is beyond simple. The first enemies are easier than those 5 year olds I fought last year and shiv barely puts up any more challenge. Skipping past vaughn’s section and ellie’s car thing the real game finally begins
Now that I’m aboard sanctuary I can finally gamble.
But first I need some Xp. A couple Skrakk kills later and it’s time to start spinning. Unlike Borderlands 2 only having one type of slot machine in Moxxis, Borderlands 3 has 4 unique slot machines to choose from all with different loot pools. Starting out I’m only allowing myself to use the Loot Boxer which drops guns and gun customizations. As I progress through the story I’ll unlock a new machine every time I kill a vault monster, and I’ll unlock the eridium machine once typhon gives me the gun gun thing, I can't remember the name. Also unlike Borderlands 2 I have no idea what the odds on these machines are which I really wish I did considering that this happened. Yeah a legendary in my first couple of spins so that's neat, from here on I’ll only show you the important drops I got from the machines because otherwise this video would be far too long.

Small random fact about dahl weapons in bl3. The different firing modes actually have stat modifiers applied to them. The semi auto has a small damage multiplier, burst has a pretty substantial firerate multiplier, and full auto will always default to the lower range zoom. The semi auto bonus damage helps make the snipers still pull off one shots at lower levels. Also dahl weapons tend to roll having a scope at a much higher rate than other weapon manufacturers. The pistols also can role a sight that gives you the gansta lean on alternate firing modes. The lean give more damage if you believe it does, so always big thing to look for.

A normal bl3 run is legendary galore, i have hit bl2 slot machine atleast 10x more than bl3 and have gotten about 2-3 legendaries in bl2 to bl3s more than an inventory full

@lilmancc35 in the settings, there's an option to automatically sell whatever you pick up. You can change the rarity, too, so you don't accidentally sell blues or purples if you don't want to.

Slight tip for xp boosting in challenge runs where killing isnt ideal: The Typhon dead drops give 2-3k xp each when opened. I believe the broadcast towers also give a thousand or so before level 20. Dont honestly know if the ClapTrap parts give xp. Now. Can you beat Borderlands 3 with ONLY Typhon's Dead Drops?
