To be honest, it was originally allied to Germany before the war kicked off, but then it signed a neutrality treaty sith France.

I am a Turk. There were only 15 million Turks in 1918 and 5 of my grandfathers were martyred (died) in the Çanakkale war. We fought non-stop for 10 years in total. 1911 (Tripoli) 1912-1913 (Balkans war) 1914-1918 ww1, 1920-1922 war of independence We lost 2 million men out of 8 million men. This means one in every 4-5 men. If you are looking for someone who made a mistake in the world war, that person is not the Ottoman 😒. 🫡🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷

@@İkinciHesap-f2u the Ottomans really shouldn’t of joined World War I. They could’ve survived as an Empire if they stayed neutral in the conflict. Along with that, they were improving relations with Russia at the time of said conflict. Really it was only Enver Pasha in the Ottoman government who wanted to fight on the side of the Central Powers.

I love WW1 I sometimes wonder what would have happened if the war ended in 1920 instead of 1918 could the Germans still win if they only just defend on their western front instead of wasting resources on both fronts

The best way they could win is if Germany defeated France early in the Marne in 1914. It is a clear path to Paris and would end up surrendering if they captured the leaders and politicians to sign, Italy seeing that great victory would not betray Germany and would see the advantage by obtaining territories from France and defeating the British in Egypt on two fronts quickly, Bulgaria joins and defeats Serbia, Italy will not evacuate the Serbian army and Albania joins to obtain Kosovo, Greece with King Constantine joins and avoids the arrival of the British to its territory in support of Serbia which will be divided, Romania renounces Transylvania and recovers Bessarabia against the Russian Empire, Spain may unite to obtain Gibraltar and block the Mediterranean from the British, Great Britain could surrender with attacks air, possible landings and submarines, with the help of the Irish revolutionaries or perhaps a peace agreement, Russia would end up being defeated in less time and Germany would support the peasants of the Russian Empire to overthrow the Tsar without communism (the farmers lived in poverty and the morale of the Russian army was low)

Because they were extremely anti-cominist. They only used them to gain a victory over Russia, although kaiser Wilhelm the second did share certain views with the Bolsheviks (particularly that the workers deserve better rights and larger wages) its essentially impossible for the Bolsheviks to win if the Central powers won ww1
