SITUATION:
1917. WW1 started 3 years ago.
Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria are fighting British Empire, France, USA, Italy and Japan. Russia was defeated in 1917 and there is a Civil War.
21 march 1918: Ludenfdorff launch an offensice on the Western front. The offensive is succesfull, Germans enter Paris and France surrenders. War is over.
There is an armistice. The British naval blockade is useless after the collapse of France, so a Entente victory would be too long and costly.
The peace conferece is held in Copenaghen. It’s an armistice, not a complete German victory.
Great Britain do not lose nothing. They are not defeated, and their fleet protect Britain from an invasion.
France lose Morocco, Burkina Faso, Central Africa and Indochina to Germans. Congo is now Germsn, Germans also gain Luxembourg and half Belgium.
Serbia, Montenegro and Albania are now Austria-Hungary protectorate.
Italy have to pay reparations to Austria-Hungary but do not lose territories. Austria has enough ethinc problems.
Slavs inside the Empire are now as numerous as Germans.
Bulgaria annexes Macedonia.
Ottomans gain the control of Saudi Arabia.
The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk on 3 March 1918 remains valid. Finland, the Baltic States,,Poland, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Ukraine are now under German influence.
In the following years, Austria-Hungay Empire and Ottoman Empire do not dissolve. Germany remains a monarchy under Wilhelm II.
Hitler never rises to power.
Germans have now strong interests and colonies in Asia, and are in economic competition with Japan.
Chiang Kay Shek, with German support, bring China under his control.
Karl I is the Austrian Emperor, after Franz Joseph death in 1916.
The rest oft he World follows almost the same historical path we all know, until 1937…

Done? But the germans would never have come close to taking the soviets. Even if the allies for whatever reason didn't give aid the Soviets would have won by sheer men, the germans meanwhile wouldve been so overstretched that it wouldnt even be worth going any further. even by 1942 things werent going well for the germans , only 1941 was their glory year. I dont want to be too awfully defensive of the soviets, yes they had lost many short term wars (winter war can be used as an example) and in addition had pretty low quality equipment. but while the T-34 was very low quality, it was also very cheap and that kind of stuff works wonders in long term wars. plus germany had suffered fuel shortages too. germany would not and could not win a war with the soviet union

The weak point here is an extremely isolationist USA volunteering itself into this war which was clearly just another European clash of empires. exellent video but some important points to consider: 0:50 just as a trivia, it was proved that hitler only joins the nazi if he had a psiquiatric trauma post-war if the central powers lost at WW1, in this timeline he would join a diferent political party and he didn't need to rise to power to begin with 8:27 at this point the axis has now territory in the caribe (Netherlands antlles) but it was never mentioned 9:24 never considered to be an ally to begin with? at least they would try some diplomacy. 11:42 they invade scandinavia & ireland to avoid usa intervention but portugal was only mentioned at the end of the whole video , actually it was never considered in the whole chanel as a possible gate to europe still waiting for part 3

The size of Germany at the beginning of this timeline is ridiculously small. Germany annexed large portions of Russia during WWI, and would have now been able to keep it. German plans also involved the annexation of a large amount of France. If you want a truly accurate and logical alternate history where Germany wins WWI, watch Whatifalthist’s version on it.

After learning from WW1 i'm sure that Russia would help the Allies. And since The US itself witnissed the fall of the Entante in WW1 duo to their late intervention I do believe that France,the US,Russia and the UK would enter the war all in close proximity to each other. With Hirohito joining them and providing strong support for the Allies it would be all gut.

Yes this is a much improved video and I enjoyed watching it. But it seems to me that after a victory for Germany in WW1, another world war may be quite unlikely! There are plenty of reasons why a further big war would have been avoided! Before I could be convinced by this video, these are the comments I would make and some questions I would ask:- 1) Usually, countries will go to war either to pursue a goal important to their vital interests, or to protect themselves or their interests from a perceived threat! In the real WW2, Britain & France declared war on Nazi Germany because the German attack on Poland (especially after the Germans had already marched into Czechoslovakia) demonstrated Germany was ready and willing to invade other countries and eventually dominate Europe, thus threatening Britain & France! I can't see that the scenario in the video is threatening enough to Britain & France to make them want to go to war. All Germany is doing in the video is supporting one side against the other in the Spanish civil war. It also did this in our real timeline anyway, and it didn't lead to war! So why would it in the scenario in the video? 2) In our real timeline, the communists gained power in Russia with German help, while Germany was still fighting the Czarist regime. The endless losses and defeats to Germany had made the Czarist regime very unpopular with its own people, so that also made it easier for the communists! But in 1923 according to the scenario in the video, the communists gain power in Russia! How? This is a different situation. It is peacetime, and under the those circumstances the Germans would not be willing to help the communists (they would likely be hostile to communism!) The video presents no explanation of how the Russian revolution would succeed in those circumstances. 3) Can we even be sure the shaky and unstable Austro-Hungarian Empire would still be around in 1937, even if they had been on the winning side in WW1? And how firm would Eastern European countries be in their alliance to Germany, as shown in the video? Puppet regimes with limited popular support are unlikely to be very stable anyway! 4) In our real timeline, public opinion in the U.S. was very opposed to U.S. involvement in a big foreign war. It took the shock of Pearl Harbour to change that thinking. The video presents no similarly cataclysmic event that would push the U.S. into war. I can't see why the U.S. would attack all German shipping just because some chemical weapons were used in Spain. Even recently when chemical weapons were used in Syria, all the U.S did was fire a few missiles at an air base and that was it! And the U.S. certainly did not attack the shipping of the big Power supporting the Syrians (i.e. Russia). 5) Similarly, in our real timeline the U.S. could only justify war on Nazi Germany after Hitler had idiotically declared war on them, giving Roosevelt the excuse he had been looking for! But with no Hitler, I can't see any German leader being stupid enough to declare war on the U.S. first! 6) Would Japan & Germany really be deadly enemies just because Germany had a small part of New Guinea and some small Pacific islands as colonies? I can understand Japan attacking the Dutch East Indies for their rich resources, but New Guinea? More likely there would be a tacit understanding that the Germans just keep out of the way and let the Japanese do what they like in the Pacific & China, provided the Germans are left alone! Even if the Japanese demanded Micronesia for example, I can't see the Germans being willing to commit significant forces to defend it! 7) In the real timeline Hitler attacked Russia mainly for ideological reasons including the gaining of 'Lebensraum'! But with no Hitler, there is no real basis for a risky attack on Russia, especially while still at war with the U.S! In the video, Russia doesn't even have a border with Germany! So why would Germany feel threatened? 8) At the end of the video, it implies there would be a stalemate, which would then be a prelude to a 3rd world war! Even in the real timeline we had a stalemate between the Western Allies & the Soviets. We had a Cold War but no more world war! So why would a stalemate inevitably lead to world war? But as I said at the beginning, can we be that sure there would even have been a 2nd world war, if Germany had won in WW1?

1) in our timeline GB and France were happy with the status quo in Europe and a war was against their interests, at least France interests. In this timeline the only satisfied with the status quo is germany 2) Russia in 1918 was a mess, almost everybody with some luck could gain the power, in our timeline Bolsheviks got luck, it could happen again. if USA GB and France do not support white, Germany is alone with some help from Italy and Austria. may be it should be not enough. 3) you are right, Austria Empire and Ottomans probably would have collapsed, but may be not. expecially in case great depression hit USA and only marginally Europe. In this situation, Germany is the main economic power in Europe with little ties with USA, so may be Great depression remains in USA. I'm sure eastern puppet regime would not have been too much help to Germany, but Germany does not need them all that much 4) It's Germany who declare war on USA.not USA who declare war on Germany 5) Hitler said "nobody would declare war on USA if not forced to do that". Germany would be in the same situation of the Germany in our timeline 6) In this situation, Germany should be the dominant economic power in Asia in competition with Japan. Japan attack dutch indies for the same reason they attack China 7) Russia had border with countries under German influence. Hitler was not mad, he did not attack Russia only for ideological reasons. Russia was a threat 8) WW2 was not fault of Germany, at least not all fault. so I think WW2 was not only dependent on what Germany did

I love this alternate history series so far but I do have a substantial question. The only reason Germany helped the nationalists during the Spanish civil war was because Germany was also a fascist country. Why would the monarchy in Germany assist fascists in Spain? And on top of that why would ludendorf be the king of Germany wouldn't it Go to wilhelm's son? And on top of that if Germany won world war 1 why does Kaiser Wilhelm abdicate? In our world he survived until I think it was 1941.
