Great great video .. I love this company GUGA & Co are great people. The build quality is also solid .tbh this box wasn’t for me as I prefer the amazing punch of the Mad 5 mk2 ..which lead me to also get the beast ADS7 …..”love it “. They just released a new model “whatcha think about it ?”

Thanks. I did a demo of the MAD 5 as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ql68pn6BhriMgtU The ADS7 looked a bit more than what I needed as I also have the Vermona drum synth but I did like the sounds of the MAD 5... I prefer the sound of the Ritmobox more though.

Sounds like my Korg Electribe ER-1. But that one is definitely *not* one function per knob. ;)

Hopefully you saw I own the ER-1 as well when I put some of my machines together to compare size. The ER-1 is indeed nice but sometimes it's nice to get a new form factor, especially when built like a tank.

Damn that price range is kind of crazy, the drumbrute costs quarter of that, is analogue, and has more drum sounds and bang (no pun intended) for your buck. Other than that concern I think it certainly looks and sounds a bit better than the drum brute and can deliver some modulated goodness .

Several things to consider: 1) Less can be more! Having more doesn't always mean better, and as you mentioned the sound of this unit is incredible. 2) Arturia is a much larger company producing much larger masses of gear (able to offer a lower price tag) and sometimes the lesser known product can be more alluring (somehow this video got your attention). 3) Hopefully the knobs of the Drumbrute wont' suffer the same fate as my Minibrute where they all become sticky over time. 4) The Drumbrute is much larger in size.

True about the Minibrute knobs compared to, say, novation Circuit knobs which are also rubber and do not stick after many years of abuse. But the Drumbrute and Drumbrute Impact offer sounds that are every bit as good to my ears, certainly more versatile, and an absolutely ace sequencer, super easy and powerful except for lacking automation which is really too bad. This thing may be unbreakable but Arturia quality isn't exactly bad either. The Rhythm Wolf sequencer was also very cool and the sounds not nearly as bad as people said. I mean you've got the Vermona there so you're obviously focused on the analog sound quality and probably really really picky but still. 600 euros for four voices? I like the fact that there are few voices but you have to be seriously rich to pay so much.

@@electrosonicnebula I was actually more attracted to the Tom Cat, but never picked one up. The demos I heard of the Drumbrute didn't impress me much though sometimes I can overreact just because I don't like the sound of a clap. I'm sure it's a lot easier and more versatile to sequence but I also like to get things that aren't as popular and have wicked cool design. Technically the Ritmobox has 5 voices. Yeah I had both and eventually sold both but have missed the Rhythm Wolf more, especially that bass voice, which you could theoretically play chromatically (although the machine had tuning issues that made it hard to do that, you had to hook it up to the computer to recalibrate it constantly with a software that they designed after the fact to fix the bug, super annoying!). I realized along the way that my love for analog synth didn't extend to analog drum machines, for some reason I prefer samplers for rhythm purposes. (But do appreciate those analog beats on music I hear)

@@alternatingbitmusic I recently bought a used Impact and the some of the knows are sticky. Not sure what causes it. Trying to clean them makes it worse.
