Wonderful live broadcast! I've a friend who's a ceramic artist. She makes my oversized coffee mugs. I'll share this video - and tell her I'll be needing some tiles at a later date. :)

Fab! If she's game try a firing and let me know 🤩 I've had one success that was fired at work circa 2014! No kiln access. Still loads to figure out.

What is the name of the tea and other product mixed together?
@JoHowell3 жыл бұрын
The tea was just tetley and the household bleach was dilute toilet bleach. No frills cheap crap. Mainly for experiments. Test strips are advised!

Just started trying this process,too. Your works are really great and inspiring. Can you explain, what the vinegar is for? I'm from Germany and i don't understand every word you've said, sorry Anja
@JoHowell3 жыл бұрын
The acid in the vinegar effects the blue of the cyanotype as it causes faster oxidisation. My Northern accent is rather broad! I think I put captions on. I'll check. Anyway, thank for looking. @maverickartjo on insta :)

@@JoHowell thank you for your answer - there are so many questions in my head😄 but most of them i'll try to answer myself by doing and trying out. In Germany don't practice so many people cyanotype - it's quiet difficult to get some helpfully informations. Thanks again for your answer! Anja
