Power metal's pretty great like that, and Jonathan Young's arrangements are pretty solid. I took several months debating what song I was going to use, and when I started combing through 80's classics and found this one it was just too perfect to pass up.

Just how it panned out this time. Both had good visual rhythms for that point in the song, and this season just had a lot of solo action content for both Keith and Shiro, even after taking out some of the more spoiler-heavy sections. I tried several variations trying to work in more solo content for the other characters, because I wanted something similar to my first one, where they each get sort of an "intro screen." But they either don't have meaty on-foot action sequences (Coran, Lance and Hunk), their action sequences featured too short of shots to fit the beat/feel I wanted in that section (Pidge), their action sequences were light-hearted or humorous and therefore didn't fit the tone of the opener, or their on-foot action sequences were too spoilery and I didn't want to undercut those moments when viewers get to that part of the show (Allura).

It took awhile for this to grow on me after the phenomenal mashup of "Re:re:" for season 1, but grow on me it did. Never heard this cover before; thank you for helping me discover another artist! My favorite part is probably 1:07-1:12; great choice for the tension ramping up (Shiro always gets the best fight scenes I swear).

I use PowerDirector, but these edits are simple enough you could probably do it something as basic as Windows Movie Maker--it'd be annoying, but it could be done.

PowerDirector is costly for beginning. If you're just trying to jump into more advanced video editing, try DaVinci Resolve first. There's a free version that has some solid features.
