This product is so good! Just wondering instead of a paper filter could you use an Able brewing disk? if so which one?
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
Do you mean an Able Disk filter instead of the paper filter? - you could yes as it will fit the top no worries but we usually recommend not using a Metal disc filter for the dispersion of water as it's not always as even or consistent as a paper filter. As for the other filter below - this comes standard on the Delter Cold Drip and I couldn't see any benefits of replacing the current metal filter with another.

Thanks for this video! Is there a ratio required to dilute the strength of having it black? Or can you simply pour and drink without blowing you’re head of?
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
I would say it's best enjoyed at a very low ratio of extra water to the original brewed coffee - perhaps just over ice - except I do find, personally, the flavour doesn't always match the caffeine effect and it could be weak and still blow my head off 😂

What is the difference between this and traditional cold brew you’d leave infusing in your fridge?

I have never tasted cold drip coffee - how does it taste compared to coffee made with the normal Delter ?
@AlternativeBrewing2 жыл бұрын
I tastes like coffee, but has a significant less bitterness and brightness to it. Much more rounded, slick mouthfeel, if drunk straight - or can dilute to your preferred tastes. Hot brew vs Cold Brew - they're oranges and apples really - Cold Brew is great on a hot day - but I'll drink hot coffee whenever

Thanks for the tips. What size are the filter papers that you are using? Thanks.

The Delter Paper filters here are perfect alternativebrewing.com.au/product/delter-micro-filters-300-pack/ But any other regular paper filter about the same size will just sit on top No worries

If i brew this overnight and leave it in the fridge, it will probably drip a few insignificant bitter drops of coffee over the additional hopefully 4-6 hours. But will it significantly stain and ruin the filter? How long until it inevitably retains that old stale coffee smell?
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
I would say no, it won't do this.

Awesome tips! Quick question, roughly how many ml of water for the pre-infusion phase?
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
Twice as much water to coffee is the Golden rule for Pre-infusion 👍 this is becuase coffee grounds will soak about approximately twice their own weight in water every time you brew.

Any suggestions on a manual grinder to pair with this? The large dose is throwing me a bit, I don't want to adjust my espresso grinder so am looking for something specifically for this + delter press.

Unless you put this in the fridge its not a pure cold drip, other systems allow for ice.

This allows for ice 👌 Just smaller cubes I suppose

@@AlternativeBrewing yeah I guess but it needs improvement. It's clearly not designed for ice. Wouldn't be hard to correct though.

bunch of poppycock! how does the coffee taste? i would never buy one of those
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
It taste like Cold Drip Coffee - depending in the coffee you use, I guess it could vary widely. - So I'm suggesting it doesn't change the flavour of the coffee to any great degree more ,than other Cold Drip Towers. But it certainly takes the hassle out of making a coffee on one, consistently much easier 👍
