These gentlemen are geniuses how they can take apart and repair anything!! Here in the US if an alternator stopped working, we'd just go down to the local parts store and buy a new one. Which they are made in China, and they are cheap junk! I'd much rather have this young man rebuild one for me.

ITS NOT by accident either, it was planned that way and started with this garbage throw away society 35 years ago!!! All about making people spend more money to get corporations more profit!!! Do you also pull and manipulate the windings with teethed pliers? And do you also strike the windings with metal hammer? Have you ever tried, even with minimal power, to pull on the varnished copper wires? Is the insulation of the copper completely intact?

Can’t believe that guy just rewound stator !!! I started in the motor trade mid 70’s. A lot of things would be repaired but over time less and less. Now the skills are gone for good . Great 👍 job mate . The ACR alternators were commonplace in my time and may have been made in Pakistan 🇵🇰 at one ☝️ time .

First of all, praise to the young gentleman for his hard work. The biggest complaint is why, man, do you work so fast? Such work can lead to injuries and even mental disorders when you go home. so nervous. Another objection, and the ones you want to pack, take a wooden hammer and knock with it, this applies to the pliers you use, try with a wooden or plastic rod.

Really Hard working Boy I appreciate him, But Using a Metal Pliers can damage the Coils, Can use a Plastic or Nylon shield on the nose. Also Why don't you use a Nylon Hammer, Steel hammer going to damage the Coil and Alternator Life will be reduced🙂

You know splitting that star connection and changing to delta will give a lot better output on your alternator builds with no other changes needed and won't hurt diodes at low rpm output

Delta if the engine rpms & elect load are high eg rally cars with lots of lights. But low rev diesels in traffic, better to be star connected. The regulator may use the star point (neutral) on some designs.

@@tonydoggett7627 not quite accurate, yes was a common mod in rally when rules would not allow component upgrade but the principle is purely based on resistance value and split fields, the fact you are generating current simultaneously in two windings although not equal gives greater output but using two diodes simultaneously rather than heavier wound star connector piece using larger rated diodes to handle higher out put, low rpm out put is marginally better as the reference voltage circuit for regulator will not increase rotor current sufficiently to increase low speed out put and maximum out put is load dependent and will not maintain or achieve maximum out put unless sufficient load is maintained ie as battery charges up output drops very quickly unlike more modern alternators they are able to maintain high out put longer and charge batteries quicker even though surface voltages rise hence the improved cooling capacity in modern ones, and yes you have to discern if your application used star connection for any function before eliminating it, if you dont believe me then modify one and test out put, you almost have to have dead flat battery to see peak output, best I ever achieved was almost 90% increase in output usually around the 80% was most common, only alternator I wouldn't do it to back in the 70s was Email as they used soldered in diodes and they would just plop out even without mod, it wasn't so much as overheating diodes from increased current but the heat sink value of diode plate was inadequate and eventually it would heat up that much it would soften solder enough to loose a diode usually the middle one Australia Ford ran these disasters for some years before they wised up and ran Bosch and Motorcraft ones a lot of British fords ran Lucas which were only marginally better, I loathed Lucas's electrics JMHO
