DBS: Broly was truly a love-letter to all Dragon Ball fans. The comedy, the sadness, the battles, the lore, and the spirit of Goku befriending his foes is ALL present in this movie. On top of that, the animation was an absolute feast. Super Hero was MUCH better than I think most people expected it to be, but DBS Broly was peak Dragon Ball. We were spoiled rotten, and now the bar is so high, it will be a hell of a treat to see if it's surpassed.

Broly suffered from Super being Super. I loved the beginning of the movie, minus the saiyans using guns, and all the bits with Broly in it were great. It's just a shame that it happened in the Super timeline, where Goku and Vegeta are god-tier in power yet randoms who did nothing but punch bugs somehow can not only equal but surpass them. It obliterates your suspension of disbelief, unless you're a weirdo who likes Super.

The Transformations. SSJG helped revitalize Dragon Ball in the BoG movie and was set up as the next goal post the Saiyans would hustle and grind for-oh wait, there comes Resurrection F. Apparently SSJG action figures sold too well because now Toei is demanding another transformation, despite SSJG JUST being created, but screw it it's time for Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan which is the dumbest name ever, so dumb that nobody uses it and they refer to it as "SSJ Blue" and that form is so shit. It gets used on everything, and it jobs EVERY time. It doesn't beat Freeza, Vegeta uses it against an emaciated "saiyan" in that one forgettable tournament, it fails to beat Zamasu and Black, oh yeah speaking of black he has a new pink haired SSJ form which is just stupid. Trunks gets a random asspull form which is SSJ but with Blue's aura sorta in there inexplicably, we get Blue+Kaio-Ken which is honestly fine and its only problem is that it's attached to that stupid Blue form. Then we get Vegeta's SSJ Dark Blue form which was pointless and Goku acquires his 4th hair color change with Ultra Instinct, which is a mediocre form at best since it not only serves as an absurd power up but it gives Goku a lag switch as well. At least the music for it is good. And now we have Grape Drink hair Vegeta so he can take L's while using God of Destruction powers, awesome, and the Gohan Blanco meme was made canon in their newest movie. And Piccolo also got a new form! Does he look like Porunga? A demon dragon form, tying him back to the god of Namek while also referencing Demon King Piccolo? Uh, actually... he's just orange. And big. Well yeah he could already get big, but now he's just extra big. So dumb

Manga chapter 82.. seeing Goku remember was little me remembering why I love Dragonball so much. ​@@Dexuz Bardock loves odds stacked against him, but still fights for what he believes in much more consistently. He didn't fight frieza for the fun of it, it was to save/avenge his people. While Goku fights for similar reasons, there's always some catalyst. Krillin being exploded, ChiChi and Goten being killed by Goku Black (Which he gets over quite quickly), and etc. Not to mention Goku helps his enemies to fight them again like Vegeta even though he and Nappa killed so many innocent people, or some other reason like giving Cell a Senzu Bean when the whole planet and his son's life, more importantly, was on the line. Bardock has a similar fighting spirit, yes. However, he doesn't make the at times dumb decisions Goku makes. Yes saving or avenging his people could be labeled as a catalyst, but Bardock always had the mentality of belief first, while Goku doesn't.

I'm sorry, but Kikuchi could have never composed anything as beautiful as this. OF COURSE, some of his music comes close, like the Tree of Might score, but he got too much of a comfort zone while in DBZ, if I may, most of his original DB score is better than Z's, Sumitomo had a rocky start, but ACTUALLY GOT OUT OF HIS COMFORT ZONE and improved BIG TIME.

@El Rincón de un Outsider. que la toei animation lo haya hecho ver como un tipo sin corazon por su hijo no tenia sentido, hasta el rey vegeta tiene actitud de sayayin y aun asi queria a su hijo. Incluso si te vas a poner a favor de la Toei, recuerda que paragus si queria a broly y lo trato de proteger... Así que no hay argumento, de decir eso es actitud de sayayin, porque la Toei fue la que nos metió en la cabeza que los Sayayin son así. Let's be real here Goku only got to be as strong as he is now cause of the dragon balls. If it weren't for those, Goku's power level would have never reached the thousands. Casuse he died against Raditz. So no it's NOT hArD wOrK that got him to where he's at now, but cause of a genie dragon. Or to put it another way, *he only got to be as powerful as he is, cause the plot demands it.* If Goku didn't have main character status and didn't have plot on his side, he would have never been able to surpass a Siabamen, let alone Nappa.

Saiyans and other characters inherently get stronger by pushing their limits and training. Saiyans in particular get Zenkai boosts by pushing themselves to NEAR death and recovering. They don't get a Zenkai boost if they DIE. So, Goku never got stronger simply by being revived by the Dragon Balls. Not to mention he didn't die until he was an adult and fought Raditz anyway, so what the heck do you even call everything he did before that? Vegeta was a Saiyan elite born with a higher power level. He took pride in that, but Goku fought several others who were significantly stronger than him at that point such as Tien, Mercenary Tao, and King Piccolo. Goku trained after he died on 10x Earth gravity and learned how to keep pushing his limits beyond what Saiyans typically would even do. That's why Vegeta was 1-upped by Goku in their first fight. Vegeta never had to fight enemies stronger than him before. Vegeta even admittedly started training harder and using the same methods as Goku because he saw how far behind he was falling. (A literal character arc for Vegeta as he sees Goku and Trunks turn Super Saiyan before him.) Yes, he is the protagonist, but it's abundantly clear that Goku actually has earned his strength from the menial chores of being chased by dinosaurs while carrying milk all the way to training for a year in heavier gravity with Gohan for a year to literally spending all his time training with gods. The man lives to fight and keep getting stronger and better by earning it. Not once has he ever wished for greater strength from a "magic genie". If you're talking about the theory about Monaito's wish in DBS, that's more of a theory and how it helped Goku if it did at all is up to debate (Bardock wished for both of his sons to thrive, so Raditz clearly got the short end of the stick if that was the case.)
