Nathan, the blank rows are not fixed in my set of data...sometimes it is at 2 row that the header start and sometime it might at 5th row...how am I going to fix it..could you please help

Hi Rounak, yes, that happens frequently in my sets as well. If you data has a header label row, then use the filter tool to find that row, and filter out rows that appear before the header. If you don't have a header label row, then you'll need to find a common row of data across your input sheets that indicates where the data starts. Alternatively, I find that I over think this problem, you can simply continue processing the row until you get to a point where the non-header rows can simply be filtered out. For example, in my last Google Sheets import, every row needs a valid date, so if no date is present, I drop the row. If that causes the header to drop, then I just use a Select Tool to re-generate the header.

Hi Nathan. I'm just playing devil's advocate here, so please don't take offense. As, I'm sure most of your subscribers are, I'm an advanced Excel user simply b/c I know how to use Power Query and I can essentially do all of the things that you are showing in this video and consequently your other videos titled Alteryx for Excel Users. What is the advantage of using Alteryx vs. simply doing these same processes in Excel's Power Query? Again, I'm just looking for more information on the differences between the two environments. Thank you.

Great question Isaac. No offense taken. Your question is a topic of debate among my data team (and I sure, others). I am actually a fan of Power Query. You can see that I've posted a set of videos on Power BI as well. There are times when I do choose Power Query over Alteryx. This chose depends on the purpose or use for the end result and how much effort will do into shaping and formulating the data. Your question is a perfect topic for a video. There's too much to say and write in a comment. So I'm going to respond via video and dive deep into the answer. Stay tuned. 👍
