Woman are strange things, happy to see you build as you will have issues that make you mad and say bad things about the build, but...when it's up and running and working well and nothing but good things are said, smile's are shown..game over! Now woman switches into jealous mode and makes you're life a living hell...finds things that are MORE IMPORTANT and such lies. Trust me 70% of guys know what I'm talking about. I for one hope it wasn't sold under these conditions and sold because he wanted more power/different car....but I doubt it was.

DUDE!!!..... You spend all that $$$ on a boot full of brand new top quality parts, have a mate to help build a nice little car (paying a shop to do that would have cost another $40,000), take it to the track, a few shows, and sell it? changing to e85 fuel and finding a better tuner than the guy who first tuned it, could have got you close to 500whp and if the engine was built and tuned correctly you could have thrashed it for many safely, the guy who paid $15k for that would be waking up laughing every morning.

I was thinking this same thing. High Dollar, multi-stage build, non-OEM fitment swap, bumper to bumper rebuild refinishing just about every surface of the car, $40K thrown into it... yet has the vocal inflection of someone narrating a Junior year High School presentation on Dragonflys in Biology III. Who spends a documented (with receipts) $40,000, only to knowingly lose $25,000 at the end... and is just totally mellow like that?? Mellow enough to make a video documenting this epic Tire Fire of an investment using dollar bills for kindling?

All the others skip around the pricing always saying "if you've been keeping up im sure you can figure out how much we spent" like wtf your'e showing us everything regarding your build but making us work for the info still? You explained your whole project car story concisely showed us in less detail but covered it well. I added this to my favorites and liked it. Maybe i'll start a project car of my own but at least this gives great insight. Thank you

Great build! Just in case anyone wants to do the same, for 450-500hp you don't need an aftermarket exhaust manifold, intake, cams or head work. You can save thousands by keeping them stock and just using a correctly sized turbo. The setup will also be more responsive too

I thought it would be awesome to have a car like this but then I just got nervous driving it because every tick I'd hear I'd start to think "what was that! Do I need to replace that? Is something going bad?" Then worrying about people hitting it because insurance would only pay for the price of a stock 240. Maybe I worry too much... But I expected a lot more power too.
@MrCTID327 жыл бұрын
i have the same engine with a T-35 CX Racing turbo and greddy intake. That turbo in your build is too big to have on the engine without an aftermarket ECU or stand-alone management. That is all you needed to make everything worth it. If I could do it all again I would just install a T3-T4 turbo with some 550 injectors.

Magnificent story. Superb build. Absolutely mesmerizing car. Great job man. I can tell that you definitely deserve the title of a car owner that actually appreciates the cars he builds. 39,000 dollars building something you love says a lot about a person. Yes, I would have done that same old generic thing of doing it differently and parted it out or put a different motor in it for more horsepower or just kept it and passed it on to the fruit of my loins... however, it is your car, it is your choice and your choice alone. It has already happened, but I implore you to look for the silver linings and perhaps learn from this car and enjoy the experiences and the knowledge you gained from building this beautiful machine. It's special. And if you truly believe it was special to you in your lifetime, that is all that truly matters.

Bro you had one of the cleanest Kouki S14s that I've ever seen. What a sleeping beast. Glad you had fun

I liked it better before the body kit was added 8:00 . I love the original fluid lines the body had. The body kit added to much angularity to it. Its a "meaner" look but not as clean to me. You settled on 15k? man I wish I was more in tune with sellers as I wouldn't have thought for a second about just handing you 20k for it and tbh thats a very lowball number you could have gotten for it.

I had the idea that a drift car (build) would be cool and fun, but seeing how much money you practically lose if you decide to sell it got me backed off. Not to mention the maintenance and tire costs when you actually go drifting. Nice video to watch, and thanks for the reality check with the total cost!

This is an extreme example dude obviously had the money to blow lol. Most people just put in stronger internals and a clutch bigger turbo and go for more power.

How you explained it all 🤣 it seemed so peace lol made it seem like you didn’t spend a dime 👌🏼😏🤣. Love the build 🤙🏻👏🏻

Wow. I have the same color, Silver Moss. Mine is a 1998, I bought it new in 1998 and still have it today, all stock. Nice video.

Nice looking car I think. Pretty rare now a days too. But, you could get a lot of money for it now. Maybe as much as you paid new. Are you looking to do an engine swap?

@@alticetube So true. No, I am going to leave it stock.

@@jferbie2000 Good choice. Keep it in the garage and 10 years from now you’ll probably have the only stock one left in the world. 🤣

Your lesson at the end tells me something about you and the reason we are getting crazy expensive fast cars from factories 😂it's not going to stop people from taking the challenge to make something faster than it should
