Is it a twin turbo? Bro this is so cool either way. Good work!!!! I can't really say that considering I only have like 9 subs :( but it looks great! Me and my dad are building a foxbody mustang drag car with 300+ hp that will have 500-800 hp here soon!
@TunerFaction2 жыл бұрын
So it's actually a single turbo! But technically you are right that it was twin turbo at one point because the 2JZ is twin turbo from the factory! And hey man I had 9 subs at one point too! Just gotta keep on putting out videos and that number will go up! Super cool you are working with your dad on a project like that man, really hope it goes well, sounds sick!!!

Had a great time watching this, impressed by your work! My only question is... why put a 2JZ in a 240 instead of like, an RB? Wouldn't it be a lot easier to go nissan-nissan or toyota-toyota? Or is that just what you happened to get your hands on? etc?
@TunerFaction2 жыл бұрын
Hey Chris thanks for the comment and I'm really glad you enjoyed the video!! Makes my day to hear you liked it! So you are absolutely right, it would be technically easier to throw an RB engine into the 240 because it would be Nissan-Nissan. In fact, when I started my project I really wanted to go with an RB26 as the engine swap! It just ended up being so expensive to get my hands on an RB engine around where I live that I decided to go with the next best thing and pick up a 2jz because at the time (~2019) they were pretty cheap around me! So you're totally right, it just came down to what was cheaper for me!

@TunerFaction Жыл бұрын
Thanks brother, glad you like it! The transmission is a T56 magnum, the differential is stock and I believe it's a 4.06 ratio if I remember correctly, and the driveshaft is a single piece aluminum driveshaft that was custom made by Grannas Racing! Hope this helps!

You are absolutely right my man. I basically just researched for weeks and weeks and weeks for any information I could find on the forums and KZbin for how to do this swap and after researching everything, I felt confident enough that I could tackle the swap myself! I learned a ton along the way but to get myself started I just did a ton of online research! @TunerFaction9 ай бұрын
I appreciate the comment my man but it doesn't matter if the FIPG is inside or outside the holes. Most of the pro 2jz builders I've seen build these engines goes inside the holes (which is why I did so), but I've also seen other pro builders like Steffan Papadakis spread the sealant bead with his finger to evenly distribute the sealant, and I've also seen people put sealant to the outside of the holes like you mention. I appreciate the attention to detail my man!

bro, can we retain the twin turbos when we doing the 2jz swap into 240sx, i saw few people doing the 2jz into r34 gtt, they said in that car single turbo is the only option, since the s13 is a bit smaller car compared to the r34, will it fit nicely or same issue as the gtt?
@TunerFaction Жыл бұрын
Great question Mac! From what I know, you won't have a fitment issue trying to get the stock twin turbo 2jz into the s13. I know "ThatDudeInBlue" ran his s13 with a twin turbo 2jz for a while before it unfortunately blew up! hope this helps man!😃

@TunerFaction2 жыл бұрын
Hey boss! So unfortunately those stamps wont be able to help you identify what rod goes to which journal/piston. If I were in your situation, I would just get a set of ACL Race bearings for your connecting rods and then balance the rotating assembly so that the order doesn't matter. Does that make sense?
