I have the 12" alto powered speakers and they rock! I use them for weddings and I've done from 50 to 200 people with them. Bass response is adequate but I'm hoping for more. I considered the Mackie Thump and the Berringer 215d but decided that the Altos are the way to go simply because their baby brothers sound so great. I'll keep the sub in mind, but remember, it's loading in and setting up quickly that counts in any dj gig. These altos are great! Just wish I'd had the covers. Thanks

I just returned my 12's and went with the 15's. I also have the 18 inch sub. I decided to go the way of the 15's because there is going to be times when I can't bring the sub along. Have my first big gig tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Thank you for your answer, To connect two altos to my numark NS6, I just bought 2 cable RCA / XLR? XLR on the altos and RCA on my numark? I would do a test on youtube when I would have :)

Just grabbed me a set of 115a's and they are outstanding had a choise of Mackie thumps or these when i put them side by side these hit harder and louder than the Mackie's!!!

My friend you just did the right thing! these other speakers for the most part are nothing but a hype!!!!specially QSC, and JBL...Been djing for 30 years...I had come across a lot of speakers. My last pair were a self-powered of EV's 115P. Very nice speakers but expensive too. I just sold them, but I might get something like these Altos for family parties.

I love my TS 115A's. I bought them in a pinch when one of my mains started smoking at a Gig. Ran to Guitar Center, and these were what I could afford at the time, but they sound great. With 2 of these, and a single 18" powered sub I filled the city park a few nights ago. People could hear me talk on the Mic a block and a half away. I think the 15's have a really well rounded sound, and the bass is great. Just know how to set your levels, and use a good mixer/controller, and you will be satisfied. Are they enough for more that 2-300 people, probably not, but most Mobile Jocks only play to about 250, unless it is a school dance.

would you say these are sufficient in terms of the woofers? I don't play gigs but for my apartment i was going to buy one 15" guy accompanied by 5 surround speakers

Hey Jam.Thanks for the comments, but I do use another speaker stand for the 15's...I just keep them on the ground at the house...And I am planning to get another 18sub so I can stack them...

I hesitate for 2 TS115A :( I'm afraid I do not have enough bass for a room of 20-50 people I also saw the Mackie Thump TH-15A. Highs are good? Is equilibrate? Sorry for my english but i'm french :)

got me a pair of Alto Subs 18" and the 15" Tops, use one sub at one Bar and the other one at another Bar, for small venues you really only need the 15" Tops. But the Subs will have you rocking, Nice Video!!! Plus i got a 3 year warranty on my Tops so if they fail within 3 years oh well repair of replace Guitar Center!!!! lol.

I'd go with 15's - the 12's sound good, however, you can always turn sound down, at smaller gigs! Ah what the heck get both!!! Lol sounds good dude. - I use the Mackie thump 18 sub. Active with peavey 215,'s

did an in shop comparison with the alto ts115a against mackie thumps and jbl eon 315|| 515xt and too be completely honest with mackies and jbl you are paying that extra money for the brand name.. thats all.. these altos are pretty much the same i was a mackie fiend then got some altos and now am never going back.. the altos are definitely worthy speakers.. i do forest raves with about 50/100 people and the ts115a's kills it!

to be honest I have the TS12A and they are good with all music I play! Most people are moving from EV other speaker company's because alto is Professional, Cheaper then other speakers and the same quality! I am going to treat myself to 2 15" Black series Alto speakers as they look and sound amazing!

yeah i like truesonic everyone goes for jbl i sometimes alto sounds better than there newish 615! i listened to the black ones not to long ago they have a bit of punch to them and they are clear nice bass and has a lot of body and people say alto are over priced behrenger but i have nothing to do with them anymore i like alto mackie qsc proel and yamaha Harry Pattinson

It will be enough until you get a sub..I heard the Thumps and I still think the Alto's are better..I did a gig with only the 12's and everything went well...Remember the further you are away from your speakers , the louder they are..

I brought the 15's 2 of them and use the for weddings and banquets and some how 8 months after I got the I smelled smoke from one of them and found that the Bass driver went out thank God 4 warranties but it took Alto about 6 months 2 get it back 2 me because the part mine needed was on back order and a year and a half later the other Bass driver has gone out I'm still under warranty so its fixed praying my 18 inch subnever goes out they are great speakers and they will bang maybe I just had 2 from a bad bach, we'll see I'm ancxously waiting the next gig.

thats bound to happen sorry to hear about that! The amount of speakers Alto produced they can not have all speakers working fine there are going to be a few bad ones!. Look at apple I have had 3 Iphone 5cs replaced in 6 months. One replaced 1 month of me having the previous replacement! All speaker company's have that problem

Overboard for Mackies and JBL's? I guess QSC would be out of this world then! It's all about QUALITY over QUANTITY. Those Altos are shitty speakers that you'll have to replace more times than none. I'm a mobile dj as well, and I take pride in what I do, so I invest in my craft.

dexter charles langbayan the alto’s are the best for the price, they are AMAZING i chose these because i didn’t have a lot of money at the time, but i’m in love with these speakers and i earned the money back a lot of times with gigs. And i get compliments too from clients, they like the bass very much!! 150-200 people gigs.
