The olden times', CFC-run refrigerators couldn't be kept open for long lest the cooling gas escapes, hence the whole "don't keep the door open" thing...which leads to the yelling thing.
@mspeir7 жыл бұрын
CFC-based refrigerant requires the same type of system as currently used in "modern" refrigerators. The system is sealed. There may have been a time where the efficiency of a refrigerator required a substantial amount of time to recover after being left open, and even now it is terribly energy inefficient, but no gases escape.
@JPAnor6 жыл бұрын
that s not how refrigerators works ... the gas is in a closed system :P

@@kevinmiller472 unless the inside of an egg touches the carton, there is no risk of cross-contamination. Eggs are washed and sanitized in the processing plant, so if there was salmonella on the shell, it would be dead.

Begs the question; why don't mustard bottles have flat wide lids to stand on like some ketchup brands?
@WHEREISTHEREASON9 жыл бұрын
+Christian Gerefalk The manufacturer of mustard could likely care less about your ability to get that last bit of mustard out of the bottle. In fact it is in their interest to have you buy a new bottle of mustard all the sooner and throw that difficult last bit out . Remember these are the same people (marketers) who doubled the use of shampoo by including the word "repeat" in their directions for use. An age-old axiom among marketers/advertisers is long been" if you can't sell the product, sell the package." to this end manufacturers have made packages more user friendly. Sadly this has yet to spread to the makers of mustard.
@Dracounius8 жыл бұрын
+Christian Gerefalk In Sweden most brand do just that, hence no need for this...more concerned about the sausage he had in that bun, looks like the hot dogs I got on school trips when I was little and unless you drown it in mustard it's inedible -_-

I would like to clarify that I did not intend to imply that ketchup of any kind belongs on a hot dog. Let's not get crazy now. Ketchup is for fries, mustard is for ... um ... everything else. But especially hot dogs.
