Wish I’d have caught the references around Nemesis: Reborn when I went on it, but I didn’t know too much about the park so a lot of things went over my head. Oblivion is my overall favourite even if the drop isn’t technically 90%, and Rita is a bit overhated even if it needs some work.

On oblivion the cart is tilted forward by 1.5 degrees which makes you vertical

The reason why you can’t see the track from the gift shop of the smiler is because when they built it, it was put on the wrong way so those dots are meant to be on the bottom not the top but could not fix it as they had delayed the opening date And didn’t have time to switch it. Hope this adds to your knowledge

@@AirtimeMediaOfficial 🤣🤣yes it is true as it was a delayed opening and this is only one of the mistakes that the park had made with smiler. One was the extra support beem they had put it in the wrong place🤣🤣

The reason that Rita doesn't have a Secret Weapon name is because it actually wasn't planned for Alton Towers, but it got moved there last second

Rita was never a secret weapon as during the time of construction they retired the SW code name. Obviously if it wasn't retired it would of been SW6 and we would of already been on SW9 already.

That's not true - Rita wasn't called Secret Weapon 6 as it didn't meet the requirements of a Secret Weapon project in terms of theming, landscaping etc. and so wasn't marked as a Secret Weapon (the same as Spinball Whizzer and other smaller projects). The coaster also wasn't intended for the park and was bought from Intamin alongside Stealth instead of the coaster going to Oakwood. Whilst it's true the Secret Weapon branding was phased out partly around this time, neither Spinball or Rita qualify as a Secret Weapon really :)

my favourite easter egg at alton towers is how if you carry a gun through security and scream that you have a bomb, they give you an 80% discount on all future ticket purchases for the next 3 years! 😄
