Join us as we follow the construction of Nemesis at Alton Towers. This iconic roller coaster originally opened in 1994 and closed in November 2022 for huge re-tracking project. In this series of vlogs, we'll be covering the re-build of this world famous roller coaster, along with a brand new colour scheme and enhanced theming!

Loving the Full updates & what alton towers are doing for the iconic Nemesis. we're defo Trying to (Escape or Attacking) the Nemesis Monster as its reaching out trying to grab us with the veins running though its Tentacles as we twist & turn in all directions . it would be great to see small LED lights on the Trains in a Red Glow effect as the cars pass through the full Monster Layout, lets face it if they did have lights on & the so much dull weather we have in the UK we would see them pretty bright all times & dont have to be night time to notice them lol . thank you keeping us all updated Shawn & Charlotte

The very detailed vein designs are effectively amazing especially for the tracks themselves look impressively insane, I think that the tracks paint could potentially have some form of lacker underneath for protection which is also used for vehicles. Alton Towers have totally progressed on with nemesis track renovation extremely efficient. New track veiny look reminds me of Halo & Gears of War. Especially with the alien themed track painted vein look, looks epic and love it, hope its featured on all pieces of track around circuit involving brake blocks, hill climb and station. Hoping the theming around station is more immersive, like surrounding land more involving entrance? As with this would be more epic. But nice update, looking forward to seeing more track going in future & yeah, love the effort for storytelling that Alton are doing. Cheers for updates again. 😀👍

I was able to watch some work going on the track on Tuesday and to see the progress just since then is crazy. loving the look of it so far, I was nerding out a bit pointing it all out to my Nephew on his first trip to AT lol

Great video Shawny! I agree it the way they fit all of the pieces together is so fascinating! I am currently drawing out the ride on A4 pieces of paper and sellotaping them to my bedroom wall to imagine the coaster zooming around me as I sleep, and also to encourage dreams.

That new Nemesis track looks fantastic with that red vein effect on it as well. I tell you what would really really make this ride stand out, and that is to have brand new carriages on this ride as well as new track. But have them both the same colour. Black & red track with plain black carriages & restraints. That would look awesome in my opinion. I don't know if you agree Shawn & Charlotte. And just to let you know Shawn in case you wasn't sure, the date format in the USA is MM/DD/ YYYY. Where as in the UK it is DD/MM/YYYY. I think the Americans do it differently to us British just to confuse us & be different to everyone else.

The white line on the edges of the veiny things could be to reflect red light more at night when it’s lit up with red lights, the track won’t be as visible being black it won’t reflect as much if any red light. Where as the red and white would be more prominent at night lit up with red park hands. Could be what they’ve considered I’m sure, it’s night time profile 😮 looking forward to this ❤

I wonder if they’ll create a comic like they did when it first opened for the re-opening some kind of interesting lore story about the beast or maybe do what they did with the new manor ride, wicker man and hex some kind of video in the pre-show. Be interesting if they re-paint the beast or re-build the beast to look even more primal and ferocious.

I think the 'blood vessels' on the track aren't paint but stickers ;-) Stickers can be replaced easier, than paint... Anyway it looks great and I'd love to ride Nemesis one day! Greetings from the Netherlands...

If that logo is something to do with a protesting/ rebellion group maybe we could see a storyline similar to rise of the resistance in terms of pre shows / maybe even post shows with actors breaking you out or hijacking the tour of the eggs (only for it to go wrong of course)

Fancy new paint scheme! When does the #RitaRedemption project begin? They should do a collab with Games Workshop, change Rita’s name to Peril’s of the Warp, and give it the top thrill dragster layout! Theme it as a futuristic battle between the forces of Chaos and the Imperium of Man. Who doesn’t love space marines? Am I asking for too much? 🤔😂

The set piece in forbidden valley isn’t a gun it’s a drill, that’s how the original nemesis was awakened when they where drilling into the ground for maintenance awakening the beast.

The dates etc in the end of the track, there is two dates, primer was applied 19/12/22 and TC (top coat) 21/12/22

That writing has me thinking it could be order number F8432, Piece Number 42 of the element hence the "Elem" and then of course maybe date of manufacture and then Completion date? Also spotted 43 written on the first covered piece you shown...

The writing on the side of the box section looks like part number 42 and then QC checks on the paint work "Primer OK BS 12.19.22" and "TC OK BS 12/21/22" for the top coat with BS being the initials of the QC operative performing the check

I think these sections are still just the old track been taken away had a sandblasting and fresh welding where needed and had a really good powder coating paint job to give them that new look. ? Great job guys on your constant updates nemisis is looking good.

It's all new track manufactured in America and shipped over. The old track was removed and scrapped fairly locally to the park. There were drone shots of the old track and supports in a sorry state inside the scrap yard based near Stone, Staffordshire.

Shocking update on nemesis for you, *SPOILERS* The station will be dismantled and rebuilt as a new 'nemesis monster' hence the new ride name of Nemesis: Reborn. Sub-terra will help to establish this, however the iconic old Nemesis monster is getting replaced. John Wardley granted permission as well as assisted in designing the new monster that is yet to come! (Stayed tuned...)

Rest assured, ive sold plenty of steel street furniture, that track will be poly poweder coated and will be fine unless its deliberately scratched. It will need a good power wash now and again ☺️

Am I right in saying I read these are sand filled? I wonder if they do that after they're installed the track or are the sections pre filled

The planning said they were going to fill the track with sand, but its been noted non of the track has the hatches where they pour the sand in (like monster at grona-lund does) . . I don't think they would fill it before installation, it would make the track far to heavy to transport easily.
