I loved Alton towers scarefest this year so much 2015 rocked 12 of us played and stayed for 3 nights and what an experience so much better than the previous last 4 years... The mazes are insane this year we hit gold as all queue times was 5 mins max !

Scare fest this year looks amazing! Towers have definitely upped their gems this year and appear to have delivered a truly remarkable event with top mazes, theming on top of park wide atmosphere. Sadly won't be making scare fest this year but it's going at the top of next years for certain!

When i went to Thorpe, there were clowns outside Stealth and they would chase you. They left later on though so i don't know if it counts as a non queue scare zone.

59:25...A half an hour is a big queue for you guys?! Here in America during Halloween events (Especially the Universal, Busch, Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks) you're lucky if you get in an hour. I went to my home park, Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois (near Chicago) this past Saturday and i only got on 4 rides and I was there for almost 11 hours. The four rides were American Eagle (Around 45 mins), X-Flight (Around 2 hours), Superman (Around 4 hours), Raging Bull (around 3 hours). Lines for rides can get pretty busy in America, especially during holiday events, such as 4th of July, Halloween, and at year round parks Christmas.

Shaun, for when you visit Thorpe Park, don't listen to some reviews saying that The Big Top isn't even scary... I've done all the mazes at Thorpe Park and The London Bridge Expereince & Tombs and trust me, that was the scariest thing I have ever done in my life! 11/10 almost had a cardiac arrest.

My vote is B. I have a question; it doesn't explain on the site, can you just buy maze tickets without paying park admission? Might be a stupid question, I've been trying to figure out if you can just do mazes but I can't think how they'd keep people off the rides. I really want to go this year, especially after your positive comments, but money's pretty tight and I'd like to not miss out altogether. I came to scarefest last in 2012 but didn't pay for mazes and there wasn't much atmosphere, so it'd be nice to experience the scare zones to improve on my last experience.

TBH my family find it cheaper because we have annual passes and we get discounts and cups it's a very good deal for frill seekers and with the Merlin annual pass it's not only Alton Towers it's also Chessington , Thorpe Park , Madame Tusauds , The London Dungons and all of The Sea Life Centers plus more! I saw a story about that iPhone tip. People need to remember to take it back off of everyone when they are done sharing. Otherwise anyone in the vicinity with another iPhone can send you photos. The story I read was of a woman, I think on the subway/tube, who had someone start sending indecent photos to her phone. The article was in the BBC News email that I get so I assume it was true.
