Just got back from Alton after going today, so quiet, and got to ride smiler for the first time!! It was amazing! Rode oblivion twice and did all the big rides

It’s still great to see Nemesis Sub-Terra back open. 2018 is a throwback to when it was not being used but when 2022 came, they decided to clean it up and replace the flooring with new wood. When Nemesis is done, the platform will be gone and the rest of the queue line will be changed with the floor clear of weeds.

Well...there you go : the special connection you have with Alton Towers, I have with Efteling.....I've grown up up with it, seen the changes ( which some I indeed did not agree with in the beginning, but got to grow on me later on) and I will always support Efteling for their never ending endurance, quality and magical effect on people. Thank you for this amazing, entertaining video and beautiful look of parts of the castle itself!

i am a year late lmao, and yeah. if you purchase a regular day pass, a lot of people just rush to do all the rides instead of fully enjoying themselves, like the towers, the gardens. but if you have a Merlin/season pass you don't have to worry which is nice

The gardens are underrated, it’s what makes the importance and history of alton towers, and it’s really nice for people who don’t enjoy the rides or want a break to just go through the gardens and appreciate the nature that is adjacent to the incredible rides and technology

Nemesis: Sub-Terra was refreshing & we so need lots more with live actors & plently more like this, this country dont see enouth entertainment ilke this like the other parks in Europe ect,, The Wickerman is th way forward to & start concentraiting on making Great Theme Areas & start make it look out of this world, to me we lack so much & im sure would be a better hit ,, more side entertainment needed by far ;-)

I went on 1st april at last! it was absolutely heaving as it was travelers day... which i didnt know until day before.. but was an amazing day still. didnt rain as it was due to so that was nice :). love the wicker man!!! the cue line, theming, train, ride, experience, pre show! its all amazing and i was so so impressed with the shop and merch. didnt get to ride duel or mine train as no1 wanted to go on it as they thought its boring!! couldnt believe it didnt want to ride alone....but duel is looking fab!

Question, how much of the towers are they able to restore? How much will they? And how long will it take? I would go and pay extra to go and walk around maybe put old restore furniture in it would be lovely xx

They are restoring the towers gradually it takes a long time because it's a grade one listed building any restoration requires planning permission and it's very costly to restore as it's a huge complex building but you can go around and look inside the building

They are planning to keep restoring different sections at a time however it costs a fortune!

Nemesis Sub Terra reminds me of Extra Terrorestrial: Alien encounter which was at Disney world. I think they will either demolish Nemesis Sub terra or reopen it. I think it’s a 20% chance of it being demolished and 80% chance of it reopening.

Nemesis sub terra will never reopen as the ride needs a part which only the manufacturer can produce but unfortunately that manufacturer went bust a few years ago so that's the reason it's a sitting duck i only know this through asking one of the staff who told me the reason a few years ago

Yeah I agree, The Smiler is way better. However, think of when they were built. Nemesis is the 2nd oldest coaster in the park, The Smiler is the 2nd youngest. Nemesis is my 2nd favourite ride though lol

I went today! Went on all 7 roller coasters. For me this is my order (1 is my favourite 7 is least) 1. Smiler 2. Thirteen (I didn’t know it went backwards and I thought the ride had broke!😹😭) 3. Galactica 4. Rita 5. Nemesis 6. Oblivion 7. Wickerman Wickerman just wasn’t for me, it kept jolting my neck backwards and was really bumpy for me! Also I tried to find your brick but my friends were telling me to hurry up😹

It has that dark side, but it also has what I call the purple side, with cloud cuckoo land, spin ball whizzer, and towers street. They all have a great magical feel to them, that I have loved Since I was younger
