The Smiler was running really well and smooth yesterday, We did 2 third rows and a back row really smooth!

i was shocked how smooth The Smiler was too. Must have done a small bit of track work... or a lot of track work. Maybe took sections apart or sanded track seams down. IDK what they did but they worked a miracle smoothing that thign down

The 1st time i went to Alton towers was in 1982 . They was still building the log flume and the big ride was the corkscrew . Because we went with school in the 1st week of term , the place was almost empty. We stayed on the corkscrew for 8 rides in a row. 😍

Trust me, Rita isn't that bad. The launch is forceful but it's over so fast and the rest of the ride is pure fun. Just keep your head forwards and you'll be fine. Nemesis, Galactica, Oblivion and Smiler are also not very scary. You'll be fine, as long as you're over 10 - 12.

Tomb Blaster at Chessington is absolutely amazing in my opinion. I went on it for the first time on Sunday and it is my favourite dark ride because, even though it opened in 1994, the animatronics were perfect and the jump scares and system and atmosphere were the best!

28:15 I agree! Dark Forest is completely empty until around 10.30 - 10.45 so you can get multiple rides on Th13teen and Rita. You also need 18 people for Th13teen to send, so head there first because if you wait more than a few minutes, you may get a free Fastrack. Then head to Forbidden Valley, as that area is usually dead until 11.00 - 11.15. Afterwards, if you want all the credits, go for Runaway Mine Train and Wicker Man. Then go for Octonauts and Spinball Whizzer and you should be finished with these around 2.30 - 3.00 depending on the day, so have lunch. Then go for Oblivion and use single rider on The Smiler, and you'll be done with all 10 coasters by 4.00 - 4.30, even on busier days. You can also use your free Fastrack (if you get one) on Wicker Man, Spinball Whizzer or Runaway Mine Train, or even one of the 1.4m rides, if the Fastrack allows you to ride them using it.

The VR on Galactica was so bad though. Lead to massive queues and ran at about 15 fps so it wasnt realistic

I'm so glad the VR is gone, it was not a great experience. I felt so disappointed when I waited 1 hour to get on galactica, I chose to have VR on and then I remember leaving with this sadness and disappointment. Good riddance!

i think a 1 hour VR section would work for Galactica. They spent a lot of money on the VR animation just to scrap it a few years later. As i said before either 1 hour VR session or you pay extra and get given a headset. Therefore only maybe 1-2 will have it on a train and operations will still be rather quick

We had a wonderful time at the opening yesterday! Definitely happy with the improvements the Park has made over the off season. One particular thing I noticed was that they seemed to have turned the volume down slightly from hex? This I found so much better as I remember back in October the noise was so loud it was uncomfortable! Nemesis was fab as usual and it’s lovely to see a 25 year-old ride so well kept :)
