I’ll be living out of mine 4-6 months of each year, so the kitchen is a big thing for me. I’ve found that a quality (but simple) two burner propane stove is key, and 3 additional ways to cook: a 4 QT Crock Pot (with lockable handles for keeping the lid in place), an air fryer, and a skottle that runs off propane. The flexibility with that set up is outstanding, and it can all be tucked away surprisingly well. While I’m on the road, I have all my work gear with me, which is a lot. And it all fits. The great part, like he said, there is no one way, it’s just what works best for each person. Keep rollin’!

That is awesome! Sounds like you have a good setup that works for you! These things are so cool, I can’t wait to get out on the road full time and travel!

In my van, I added a small microwave (1500 watt converter 100 amp Li) to prepare dinner on paper plates for limited clean up. Water: IKEA stainless sink plus a real camper hand pump from 5 gallon fresh water to drain with 3 gallon gray water container. Diesel heater under the counter - I like getting a quart or two of fuel as needed.

That's awesome!! Do you live in it full time or is more of a fun get away kind of vehicle?

I’d love a 1 year update

@@campfirestories744 I can work on that! I should be crossing paths with him again in a few months. He has actually been in the Alucab for almost 2 years now. We spent last fall with him while we lived in our Taxa Mantis (overland trailer) for a few months out in Colorado.

Great video, I’ve had mine for 2 years on a Gladiator removed the back seat have my air compressor hard mounted behind my 3 drawer dresser on the driver side and the frig is o the passenger side built out the interior with aluminum drawers for dry food and utensils I use a single burner butane stove. Just completed a 3 month trip to Prudhoe Bay and Tuk and everything worked great. Would love to do a Alucab Canopy Camper caravan road trip

That is awesome, there’s a guy in an overland group from Pittsburgh PA that just did Tuk, we are still hoping to do Alaska within the next couple of years! Oddly enough my friend with this set up is coming through town tomorrow and I’ll probably do an update video after being full time for a year. I know he did his rear seat delete about a month ago and I haven’t seen what else he’s done to it since then.

My strut ended up breaking because I fell and hit the door in the dark and the strap is so slippery the door doesn’t stop. The strap just slid all the way loose and I popped the strut out

That sucks!! Hopefully you are able to fix it with ease
