Can someone tell me how it is possible to make hollow sections because the die of the hollow parts can't fly in the air?

Try watching this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5qqnaRtaZVrg6c This video is using equipment that was in use over 50 years ago. The tube dies are multi-parted. The first part is called a porthole or spider die. The aluminum billet is squeezed through the spider die. Then it goes through a collet that compresses the spider legs into a single shape. Try looking for references on the porthole die. The aluminum being squeezed through the die is heated to anywhere from 700° to nearly 950° F depending on the alloy. At that temperature and with the press pressure aluminum has many characteristics of a liquid while still being a solid. I am sure there are any number of scientific treatises that could give you all the technical information of why it works. I know it works because I was an extrusion press operator 50 years ago with Harvey Aluminum while going to college.
