I've never been able to drill the holes I need into concrete. At least one hole will always hit rebar or metal. Every single time.

You're right on point with that thought. I thought it was going to be held in place with sleeve type anchor bolts into the concrete. I think IKEA has taken over the 'housing' standards.

Underwhelmed. Not weather resistant more than a year. I use vevor for everything, it’s real deal heavy material, easily installed, actually holds a load of 400 lb., would this? What you have here, the balustrades go into the bottom piece, it will collect rainwater. Small screws, should be bolts A handrail has to be dependable. Visitors won’t know the quirks, this is not trustworthy. It’s easy to do it the right way. No driving all across town, internet search will give plenty of options. Why deal with steps as an issue at all. Build a ramp and a landing for easy step into the home while carrying groceries. Wheelchair ready would be good, the ratios easy to find with a search. Added home value because it’s practical and attractive. Use wooden bannister, but instead of balustrade spindles, use rebar, drill holes in posts to set. Finish looks like cable. but way less expensive., much easier to install, spray paint unique color. ADA compliant is tax favored as a medical deduction. When I see this, accordion action aside, I can easily imagine an injury.
