The bike breaking is whatever but the way they responded made my blood boil. If I'm buying a bike brand new it means I trust the company to be honest people. Orange clearly aren't.

Really cool video. Living in the UK I love that I can support a brand that still makes a product in the UK. I own a switch 7 and phase mx and both bikes are amazing. Really great geo on the switch 7 that makes it feel like an absolute weapon on the downhills. I really don’t get all the negativity around the brand, people should go out and test one before slagging them off.

I watched a video that was a couple of years old, and the guy was riding an Orange bike FS and it broke in half, guy had to be rescued, and it took months for him to recover. He sent the bike back to orange and they said they would take care of him replacing the frame but NEVER did. SO it's up to you if you want to buy one. For me, NO WAY! If you don't stand behind what you build you don't deserve the business! Guys name was Alex Anderson and video is still available.

Every bike brand has had instances of frame failure. Every single one. Some catastrophic failures and some cracking. That video you're referring to was a bad one but every single brand has something along the lines of completely breaking in half or snapped head tubes.

My old Alpine 160 was one of the best bikes I've ever owned. Stiff responsive and super easy to tune the shock. Run it at correct sag and it was a point and shoot plow. Whack another 10-15psi in the shock and it came alive and was super playful and agile.

I was curious if the broken frame think would be the first thing in the comments and inevitably it is. In the end I actually enjoyed the factory tour more than expected, not too detailed but interesting and relevant insights to a small companies business. I even like that so what unusual frame design. The guy seems friendly and competent and so seems the staff. Surely someone made mistakes when handling that warranty case but that happens with so many companies, people just don’t get to know about it.

@@knott4me561Taiwan are known to be very good frame makers, most big brand bmx frames are built in Taiwan, specifically because they produce both quality and quantity. Owned a 2021 switch 6, friend had a 5 evo, cracked swing arm after a month of riding from the weld. Yeah they have a charm, but I recently sold my switch 6 and got a stumpy evo and it blows the orange out the water in terms of ride feel and overall frame quality…for a fraction of the price. If the "handmade in the UK high-end" frame had just broken, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal. But the aluminum frame literally fell apart, and Orange responded by asking the owner to take down the crash video and negative feedback. It was actually the manufacturer's reaction that led to Orange facing the backlash. Plus, the subpar quality of their frames and their inflated prices have been an open secret for a while now.
