The rear dropouts of the Repete are beautiful. With a more sloping top tube, front and rear mudguard and rack mount, a splittable design (more specifically, through incorporation of low-profile Santana Z type couplers), and with 3D-printed lugs for every joint, the Repeate would be about the best steel bike in existence.

Not sure if you've heard of Victoire Cycles from France, alongside their sister brand Distance Cycles.

@@sbccbc7471 Both produce lovely bikes (I particularly like the Victoire Cycles' # 465 and the #521, owing to their compact designs (ca. 14-14.5º slope in top tubes), but neither the frame is splittable (check out Santana's Z couplers and # 22 Bicycles' low-profile frame couplers), neither one has 3D-printed lugs (emulating the beautiful joints in a carbon frame) - and neither one has complex (i.e., reminiscent of carbon). I also don't care for the weld-on seatpost clamp design (though, I expect, these can be negotiable). Yes, and they all appear to be steel, rather than titanium. Thank you for the reference.

@@LeoInterHyenaem The integrated seatpost clamp is optional. Collar clamps are the default option. One can even have a Victoire-custom stem too if so desired. Steel strips can be added to the head tube's sides to prevent the housings from rubbing the frame. (this is my favourite optional option)

@@sbccbc7471 I can see that both the Victoire and Distance Cycles are quality boutique steel frame and accessory manufacturers. I'd also like to applaud them on the use of non-dropped seat stays. Few companies these days abstain from giving in to that stupid fad. And their use of fillet brazing over TIG welding is highly praiseworthy (the less of those hideous visible welds, the better), but the use of 3D-printed titanium (or steel if these exist) lugs would still be preferable to fillet brazing. If for nothing else, then at least for the unmatched aesthetic (I'd like for my next metal bike to look like carbon, for criticise carbon as metal bike aficionados may, aesthetically the oblique forms and weld-less joints of carbon are unmatched). Something else about both the manufacturers I appreciate - is their use of a wide range of frame designs from the perspective of short and long chain stays and varying degrees of top tube slope and head tube height. If they'd come up with a titanium frame that mimics my beloved Salsa WarBird (current generation) to a T (but has a slightly higher stack for the same frame size) through use of 3D-printed lugs for every joint and custom-shape tubing, integrates a Santana Z or # Bicycles 22 frame couplers and a Brake Break leak-free instant couplers for internally-routed hydraulic couplers, I'd mark it as my next-to-buy bike frame. With a custom aluminium case to go along, it would be THE rig to use for every bike tour one would ever care to do. You mentioned the braze-on steel strips on headtubes as your favourite feature. A curious feature no doubt. But wouldn't it abrade the cable housing / hydraulic liners?
