Aluminum Shock Upgrade & Speed Test - Factory Team Associated Reflex 14b

Kit, Schmidt! I got this this dialed in with a few upgrades and more on the way. Decided to put this out before the next Kyosho video because...whatever. 😁 Let's get it out!
To upgrade to aluminum shocks and hexes you're looking at about 85 bucks in parts.
The 20w oil definitely lightens things up, had to tighten the springs a bit but overall good.

Nice job on the rebuild 👍 Those things can be a slippery pain if it's your first go or a bad design😁 I like TA, and the buggies are good quality, but I want a Hooni-something from them.. the new one.

09:00 I'd probably 3D print a little skid plate to be mounted b4 that hump to recuce the risk of damaging it.

Nice build ! I thought about pulling the shocks from an emb14 but yours look much nicer, can you share the link ?

Thanks! There isn't 1 link. I went to Amainhobbies.com, searched "reflex 14b" and scrolled thru for the parts I wanted. These shocks come as individual parts, so you have to build them the way you want. Thus the video.

I have this can and absolutely love it, but associated or some after market needs to come out with a better motor mount and gear mesh. The way it is stock out of the box sucks.

I've heard that and once I figured out how to use it, all is well now. And I have really driven it hard. Mesh is holding up nicely, but I agree, it could be better.
