With Weapon Refinery and Close Defense, +Def Lukas with his normal skills hits a pretty nasty defensive stat of 57 unmerged. I gave him Ignis and soloed full physical Arena Assault teams. He and Deirdre would make for a great tank team even if he is pretty slow.

Oh, wow, that's actually quite amazing. And I personally think that lack of speed isn't a big problem for him, I already see that sweet 0x2 from blue/red(maybe even some green?) physical hitters.

Not to mention the beautiful 40 extra damage from Ignis or 25 extra damage from bonfire. His defense is so high that he eats up basically every physical, bow, or dagger attack. It's just a good time. I'm also working on getting enough materials to upgrade Ninian's Light Breath. The Plus 5 to all stats is just beautiful. Lukas's defense would be in the 60s on enemy phase! At that point, a +ATK Cherche with Emerald Axe+, lancebreaker, and Death Blow has to be +9 merged or use the Attack +3 seal to kill him. But that's incredibly situational. Thankfully, Ninian comes with Escape Route so if she survives enemy phase she is immediately able to work her magic. Simply put, this update is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen from a free to play gacha game. I also need to make a correction, I forgot I merged my Lukas to +3, but he only gained 1 def. I also just realized that Lukas could just run cancel affinity and not die to that madness. His stats don't really let him use much in the b slot anyway. I gave mine renewal so he could live forever, but with the staff buffs and the breath of life seal, I don't exactly need it. He's like a hidden boss character for physical units.

Unit Londa to be fair, I've got 3 Deirdres too, and none of them were perfect as well :D In my opinion +hp/-spd is definitely the worst one here. As for other two, I like +atk/-spd more. Having -spd is not that big a deal, because of that she'll be able to take an additional hit even from slower mages like Cecilia or Gunnthra, it will help her to charge her special faster and kill them in the same fight.
