I was Marine Corps infantry for ten years. I recently joined the Army as enlisted Supply. I was just recently accepted to the green to gold program and begin this August. Does anyone have any recommendations for what field they enjoy working as an officer? I was considering infantry again but it's not terribly desirable considering I have a wife and newborn baby now. I'm trying to plan for something that will cross over to the civilian sector and was considering aviation or quartermaster.

As an Alaskan, I appreciate your video on PT up here. Would you recommend going the mustang route or directly commissioning if I want to be infantry? (I've heard mustangs make better officers because they've been on both sides of the fence.)
@tritontransport2 жыл бұрын
Every body who gets orders to Alaska at first wonders why do we have such a big military presence in Alaska ? Once you are there you realize the logistical and strategic reasons. Especially with what’s going on right now with Russia and Ukraine. Russia is like right next door, only a few miles away in some locations. Not to mention all the other places it is close to in the world theater because of the curvature of the earth 🌎 👍

After OCS, make sure your dependents are on your orders. They MAY be able to PCS with you to BOLC, but will be on your orders for your follow on duty assignment. Officers don’t live in barracks.
