Man, I think Pitchfork really nailed it on the head here putting it first of the year. I’m absolutely obsessed with the self-contained novella style writing here and how you get a whole life portrait in a breezy three minutes, and it’s just ABSOLUTELY smeared in these in-the-red shoegaze guitars and strings. Not to mention THAT voice.

Saw them last year in Manchester, what a band they are!! They are on tour with Hatchie in Australia at the moment, have met her too and seen her live, Hatchie is cool, shoegaze meets pop, check out her album Keepsake, I love it.

@@bhr788 Well, it sounds crisp and clear while mantaining the dense layers of sound that make these songs so special. Blue Rev is borderline soviet-core in some songs. Here you can hear everything well pronounced while still mantaining the noisy mesh that make the songs richer and bigger than the sum of each instrumental section. Well, at least is what I think.

Hmm, it's a well written song and has a top shelf vibe! To me, the look at the end is more about..."wtf was that" regarding all the feedback and 'noise' effects of the guitar player. He let it rip and it distorted the overall sound quite a bit more than on the record. Once again - great band, great track, just not sure about that ending......
