I'm 65 and would never swap this age for youth. The way I look at it is that I like who I am now, despite going through years of mental health issues, tragedy and the loss of everything I own. However, I have now beaten all those things. The reason why I am "me" is because of all the years I have lived. If I went back to my youth, or I became a 'youth" of today, I would be a totally different person. Maybe I may not have liked the person I became if things had been different. The reality of life is that NOBODY in the entire history of humanity is, has been or will be YOU. YOU get the gold medal for being YOU. YOU are enough, just as you are, because of your past, because of your pain, because of your joy and despite regrets. Every day you live, take time out to truly celebrate life and then, most importantly, celebrate the unique YOU. Cheers Peter Chatteris Speaker - Author - Coach www.peterchatteris.com

I will never understand the hate Coldplay receives. Chris Martin has written some of the most beautiful songs ever, and they deserve to be recognised as a great band. Hey, I understand where you are coming from but it’s not easy to create this, and yes just because people go back to the real world after it has happened it doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen and for the band themselves this is what they do day in and day out, they create positivity and they absolutely make this world a better place for all of us and that is the most amazing thing a group of people can come together and do, I love coldplays music, but more than anything I love the positive contribution they make to the world and to the people who support them, no one brings people together in a concert like they do and in a world full of negativity, I think everyone should be a bit more Chris Martin (or Coldplay)

My sister took her life on 6 July 2024 after over two decades struggling with mental illness. We had been estranged for over a year, but we were soulmates from the time we were children. I couldn't fix her no matter what I did, and towards the end of her days, I had to choose to save myself, as a sufferer of mental illness myself, when I realised my own trauma and realised it wasn't my job to fix her. This song embodies everything in the loss and the pain of being left behind, and all the words unsaid. There is a pit in me that can never be filled. This song was there for me as a lost and depressed 15 year old. And it's here for me now as lost and broken and depressed 34-year-old. Lights will guide you home, my darling sister and soulmate. Until I can hold you again.

ALTERNATIVE NATURAL REMEDIES Diet A high complex carbohydrate, low protein diet will supply the higher amount of glucose needed to nourish the brain area that has been depleted of energy. Eat whole grains such as barley, oats, wheat, millet, brown rice, couscous and kasha. Best fruits are apples, pears, stone fruits, strawberries and cherries. Eat more salads, greens, broccoli, sprouts, asparagus, spinach cabbage, carrot tops, dandelion, turnip and collard greens, potatoes, beets, yams, carrots, beans, peas, lentils and corn. Protein should be from tofu, hummus (chick peas), tahini (sesame seeds) and seitan. Cut back to extremely small amounts of protein originating from animals. Drink lots of distilled water and mixed vegetable juices. Supplements Vitamin B complex, 100 mg. twice daily, as an enhancer of the brain/nervous system. Note: if taking L-Dopa, do not take extra B6 because it slows its assimilation. However, if B6 is given as part of combined B vitamins along with magnesium, the condition will improve. Zinc picolinate, 30 mg. twice daily, prevents B6 from interfering with L-Dopa. Magnesium citrate, 400 mg. three times daily. A deficiency of this mineral causes a deficiency of brain dopamine. Calcium citrate, 500 mg. twice daily, is good for the transmission of nerve impulses. Vitamin C, 1000 mg. three times daily. Vitamin E, 200 .U. daily for first week. Build up slowly to 800 I.U. Latest investigations of Vitamin E therapy in Parkinson's Discase show high amounts (up to 30,000 I.U.) have highly benefcial results. This must be done under the care of a holistic physician only. Octocosanol, 2 mg. three times daily, for muscle control. CoEnzyme Q10, 30 mg. three times daily Vitamin B12, sublingual, 500 mcg. twice daily. Herbs Damiana has stimulating properties and is useful for nervousness. Skullcap gives immediate relief of chronic and acute disease stemming from nervous afflictions. Amino Acids Phenylalanine, 500 mg. three times daily on empty stomach, acts as a nerve stimulator. L-Tyrosene, 500 mg. three times daily on empty stomach, for mood regulating. L-Tryptophan, 500 mg. three times daily on empty stomach, is a calming neurotransmitter. (Be sure to obtain from pure sources.) L-Methionine, per label. GABA, per label, for brain metabolism, and relaxes neurons. Theonine, 500 mg. twice daily on empty stomach. Adjunctive Remedies New types of cranial electrical stimulating devices have been investigated and may stimulate the degenerative electrical vibrations in the neurons. One such device is manufactured by Liss Co. located in Northern New Jersey. A new diagnostic procedure B.E.A.M. (Brain Electrical Activity Mapping) can pinpoint the area of the brain which is deficient in brain rhythms. With this knowledge, that area can be reintroduced to the neurotransmitter that is lacking.

One of the saddest parts about Parkinson's disease in the case of someone like Michael J Fox, is that Parkinson's disease is often followed by dementia, they almost go hand-in-hand, but he doesn't have dementia, so instead of waking up each day not remembering the struggle of the day before, he suffers everyday and has no option but to watch his body degrade while his mind stays in tact. For over 30 years now, he has lived with this cruel disease and still continues to shine and inspire as many people as he possibly can. He is a blessing to the world. And, if you didnt already know this, this is not the first time that Coldplay has brought Michael J Fox up on stage to perform with them. Coldplay have a big love and appreciation for Michael J Fox and it seems very mutual.

My dad was diagnosed at the age of 50. It’s a brutal disease. About 10 years in, he came down with dementia. It’s an awful version with Parkinson’s….involving hallucinations. We lost him a few years ago at age 68. I always try to just remember who he was before and not at the end.

As someone living with Parkinson’s, this song has meaning for both sufferers and the families affected by this dreadful disease. Listening and watching this, tears are indeed streaming and will for sometime to come. Hearing that they came together as a band because of Back to the Future and MJF seems that they were destined to write what’s is an anthem for the cause to find a cure. I have to admit, I was absolutely never a fan of Coldplay and even went out of my way to not listen to their music, but I somewhat understood why people liked them as much as they do. BUT, after seeing the Glastonbury clips from this year and seeing Michael J. Fox up there, along with the 100,000+ people ALL singing their songs back to them……I was literally fighting myself to not cry just like the drummer, bass player, and guitar player seemed like they were. I completely 100% understand now. Anytime I want to shed some tears and get some emotions out, Coldplay will be my go to. They’re obviously very talented and write some incredibly meaningful songs. I’m in hook, line, and sinker
