My favourite President of all time. Progressive Conservative. A man who knew his MAKER. Humble, loving faithful husband and father.

Very interesting examination of Dwight D. Eisenhower. Strange how he's more fondly remembered a generation after he left office then at the time.

I think Eisenhower, like many others, thought that nuclear weapons may be used in normal warfare, but I think that all changed in the thermonuclear age and the H-Bomb in 1952.

Awesome summary. However, in talking about the inspiration for the Interstate Highway System perhaps you should have mentioned the 1919 Motor Transport Corps convoy, an incredible trek across America in which Eisenhower participated.

That's very good...Ike was a hands on President, but wasn't the main character center-stage in a public/historical DRAMA, unlike FDR, Truman & Kennedy. Liberals always think in terms of building a therapeutic society, Eisenhower did not.

Solved the Kennedy Oz enigmas.....only one question...who killed Walt Disney? Is it that obvious Kurt Russell did it ?

As far as the war was concerned, this is wall to wall rubbish. Montgomery made the land invasion work. Eisenhower dithered in the aftermath of Overlord, and allowed the Germans to re-group, and failed to act quickly in the Bulge.
