Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam serves authentic Hainanese breakfast since 1956, even before Malaysia’s independence. This historic kopitiam (coffee place) still serves up the most traditional Hainan breakfast in Kuala Lumpur. With its rich history and crowds of supporters who love their food, it is common to see queues in front of the shop even before its opening hours!
For those who love coffee, you have to order Ho Kow’s signature drink - Cham (mix of Hainan coffee & tea) because the aroma and taste is simply incredible! No visit to Ho Kow is complete without ordering their butter kaya toast and half boiled eggs. Together, these three are the perfect trio for a wonderful start to your morning. Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam is also pork-free, and have welcomed customers of all races through their doors.
Kwai Chai Hong (also known as Lorong Panggung) is a historic lane where many of the Cantonese immigrants lived, nowadays it is a bustling tourist attraction with many beautiful hand-painted murals and also one of Kuala Lumpur's oldest lamp post! Be sure to pay a visit!
