Yeah, I can definitely see the JoJo Part 4 bit. It has this kind of weird but cozy colouring in this "Crazy noisy bizarre town", that is Morioh, I guess not too different from Springfield in that regard? Edit: You heard steamed clams correctly. The steamed "clams" thing was also a part of the original skit. Initially Principal Skinner calls what he is doing for dinner as superintendent Chalmers sees the smoke coming out of his stove "Steamed clams", before coming up with the idea to sneak out to get Burgers elsewhere and pass it off as his own, then correcting it to "No, what I said was steamed hams, it's what we call hamburgers"

I don't get if the simpsons are poor, why is Homer the only working parent and why doesn't Marge look for employment? Same with shows like Family Guy. It's not the 1990's anymore. Yet the shows act like it is for how the family operates.

Marge has had jobs before. It never ends up well for her. These shows aren't mean to show a modern family, they are meant to show a stereotypical family. Oh and no, the Simpsons aren't poor, they're a middle class family

​@@Ashurman666 But that's the thing, they used to be. A while back I watched the first few episodes of season 1 of the Simpsons, they were dirt poor. At one point, I think in the literal first ever episode, Homer tried to kill himself because he couldn't care for his family. The Simpsons were always a lower-class family, barely staying afloat. In the newer seasons, that's all been retconned though.

Well, as of a Homer's new job, fairly early on, they're quite wealthy; even before that, the plant pays the drones better than most places in town, even if it's a death trap. Marge stopped working because she barely had enough time for homemaking and paying others to do any of that would have been stranger than it is now. Early on they had some money troubles, but a lot of that was from additional kids.

@@playlikepig0550 Seems like Homer's promotion actually pays rather well. One of the long term continuity points. It's brought up in Homer's Enemy, they're now nearly pushing upper-class, while not quite realising it themselves.

However more currently it's used specifically to refer to someone with a large ass because buns is slang for asscheeks so if you have a large ass you're packing big buns, sometimes an entire bakery and cakes are baked in bakeries so you see the connection right?
