You kinda missed an important bit of info. Super Eyepatch Wolf is reviewing both the most recent "good" seasons of the show, as well as the two "worst" seasons that directly proceeded them for comparison. So far, all you've seen are his reviews of episodes from the two bad seasons. So far, his video has only covered episodes from the two worst seasons rather than the two good ones, so there's hope that it won't just keep getting worse as the video continues.

😂 the Simpsons is the greatest example of how people react to anime. You love the original starting work and sometimes you love the complete journey. Problem is normally that rarely happens. The more likely situation is that the show will push to stay relevant.

@@Airier I might be wrong because I misunderstand a lot but I thought he was reviewing the worst seasons, I think one of them was season 30, first and then move on too the newest since they both aired after his vid 6 years ago. There was that joke where he said “they’re alright” so fast you had to rewind to catch but then he followed up with “ok but really…” and then went into more detail. The later “good” seasons should be after he finished his thoughts on these seasons

Don't worry, you haven't quite reached the seasons this video is truly about yet. SuperEyepatchWolf is still talking about the lowest rated seasons of The Simpsons at the point you've made it to here. He's only talking about these seasons for the sake of comparison. Originally he said they're alright, then acted like that was all he was going to say about them, but he revealed that to be a joke before going back to elaborate. So you still have some hope left to cling to.

I haven't seen modern simpsons in a very very long time because the only thing I remember is sometimes it's good but too many times it's bad and then it goes back to being decent and then back to being good again and then it just repeats itself. It's like there's no good level of consistency like the old seasons were but they just keep not doing changes but will do changes and the seasons go from good to bad to mediocre. Basically i don't know anymore but still a good reaction video!

3:43 embarrassingly i had this "old episodes bad" mindset whenever there was an old simpsons episode i didn't like. i thought the newer episodes were better because the animation was more polished but now even that is something i dislike about the newer episodes, the colours and mood of the backgrounds of the early seasons were amazing. in my defence, i was like ten.

it would be such an easy fix if everyone didn't stay the same age, cause at least then the show would change over time consistently and provide different stories, instead of the well running dry and making it incredibly hard to do anything unique with it

The simpsons episode of Bart claiming he saw God is actually much better done in the penultimate episode of Smiling Friends season one where Charlie comes back and says "A lot of crazy things happened that would be a long story to tell...so im not going to...I saw the devil." Thats what the episode could have been. Bart going into a hell coma after giving into the temptation of do the dare or be shunned. But instead of going with the simple moral of dares are stupid child games to make children do stupid petty shit for giggles and you shouldnt stoop so low even if you get bullied for it, they drop the set up in exchange for a set deconstruction.
