Oh there is 100% a difference in hyping someone up and egging someone on. Big jump my buddy talked me into, "You've done similar, this is just a little bigger, but same approach as before! I'll hit it for you, come back and tow you through!" That's hyping up! I nailed that jump and was psyched I landed it. Had a huge drop that I've never done. "Oh come on this is easy everyone can do it. Just send it!" Fell on my face, get a massive rash on the side of my body, never attemptedthe drop ever again and still have a hard time hitting drops because of it...

Realising your skill level is important. Trying to push it up incrementally is important but then realising that you've skillset limit is also a must.

I say work to impress your skills. If you don’t it could cause an accident. Last thing you want is discouragement over an accident.

I recognise my limits quiet explicitly. I was hesitating a lot when I was a kid. Now I'm 48 and just do things and end up getting hurt. I think I grew up in reverse...
