its so funny, everytime people praised Indonesia, Malaysia people will comment something nice too and at least they will recommended nice place in Malaysia too but everytime people praised Malaysia, most of the comment that come from Indonesian will be hateful comment towards Malaysia. why you do that Indonesian. if you want be respected, respect other first.

MRT stations are the cheapest, there are MRT feeder buses all around near the station, you can use it to travel from Kajang to Sungai Buloh to Klang and many places around KL and Selangor. Most important, it's super cheaper, way cheaper than Grab and Uber. There are a lot of malls f you ride the MRT, mals like Bukit Bintang which is in KL, IKEA MyTown, Sunway Velocity, feel free to check them out, as these are the best malls so far I've went, a lot of shops to do window shopping or hang out, hope to see a video of it, enjoy Malaysia!

I only were one week in KL and staying at an air bnb was the best. I really fell in love with KL. The people are so great, so friendly and nobody is in a hurry. And vest of all everyone was honest and it never fellt like I was ripped of anyware. As a muslim it was so nice to see a modern muslim country. As a husband who loves his wife very much and has a great respect for working women I was pround to see so many women working. In most other countries religious women mostly cant handle career and family but not in Malaysia. My wife is also high educated and thats why I thought often about moving to KL. Maybe someday we have the guts to do that. To everybody from KL and all around Malaysia. I love you guys and cant wait to see you again 😍😍😍

I think the beauty of KL would be the range of stuff that you can get for your currency. You can get really fancy places in the heart of the city, also to have the affordable range of AirBnB, or even monthly accommodations of RM1500 in KL city itself. It's really up to the budget but I can guarantee everyone can enjoy a great time here!!

Have you tried out the train systems? I reckon you're in Taman Tun/Damansara area right? Those MRT stations should be just nearby. They're cheap too. When it comes to eat out or cooking in, basically if you are on your own or just the 2 of you, it's a bit more practical to just eat out, (looking as though you'd spend time in the kitchen prepping and cooking and eating and washing up), as you know well enough by now that restaurants, and especially mamaks, are pretty much around every corner and open 24hours. Still, it all comes down to personal preference and considering the other pros and cons of eating out vs home cooking.

This kind of info is always helpful. My girlfriend and I are currently living in Hanoi, planning potentially for KL next. One thing I always find funny is when British expats talk about the alcohol prices being "not that bad". Maybe compared to the prices in the UK! Haha. Living in Germany, beers were as cheap as 50 euro cents at the store. For me, spending three times that sounds awful. And living here in Hanoi, alcohol is also as low as 40 euro cents a can. I think the alcohol prices seem like that biggest change from here in Vietnam.

Go to Kampung Baru KL. There's a restaurant called Suraya Seafood. The Bihun Celup is the best. Must try and make a video on it. Basically its a spicy soup base rice vermicelli. I guarantee 100% you guys will love it. Cheers. Ps: the bihun celup is not in the menu. So you guys may not find it in the menu. You have to tell the waiter you want to order bihun celup. And also must try the pulut mangga which is glutinous rice with sweet manggo.

Love to see that you love Malaysian traditional cuisine. Most of the food courts like in Nu Sentral, KL Sentral, Publika and Pavilion malls have a good and variety of cuisine at low prices. Just so you know that Malaysian loves Korean food too since the Kpop craze hit Malaysia. Seoul Garden usually is the place where we love to hang out with family, friends or colleagues.. K Fry Urban Korean is the best so far I had only it's at Holiday Villa, Johor Bahru. kfry.my/. Western or fusion cuisine probably local loves is Plan B restaurant which you can find many of it's outlets in KL.

I am curious why your 02 bedroom AirB&B with all utilities is less expensive than the "smaller" condo or apt you also mention. It would be smaller, and I presume one would still need to pay for utilities for the condo...so why is your place so relatively inexpensive at 400 pounds per month?
@AlwaysaFriday
@AlwaysaFriday 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Catherine, very good question! I would put it down to location, the condo's are all in more touristy spots, whilst we were in a residential Malaysian neighbourhood. Each to their own, but we much prefer living with the locals, and it's cheaper! A win win!

If you compare British Pound to Ringgit of Course its cheaper I know British people mostly staying in Ampang Area.I Know 1 English took his entire family to live in Ampang with provision of International English schools for his children.."It's cheaper same Quality to live in Malaysia than London terribly Expensive" Don't have to pay expensive gas bill for winter...+ High Taxes %..they say future tax law if your fart in London ..pay taxes. BREXIT, the EU is pissed off with Brits designing new tax law to punish Britain blame it on Nigel Farage?

Hmm, good question, I don't think we were really in Malaysia long enough to make true friends - perhaps you're right, but that's the same in pretty much all countried.

So ... where were you staying??? You're mentioning "Malaysia" a lot, but I'm assuming you're really talking about Kuala Lumpur. Not sure KL is 100% representative of all of Malaysia.
@AlwaysaFriday
@AlwaysaFriday 6 жыл бұрын
We've spent time in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and Penang - it's still not 100% representative, and unfortunately we've never been to Borneo - but hopefully we've given a good idea.
