Regarding the first barn, there's a large hole that can be crawled through high above one of the entrances. All you need is to make a two story watchtower, and you're in someone's base.

Jokes on you. I don’t have the effort to build a base. I just keep all my stuff on me and give anything I don’t need to a fresh spawn (except guns. Only give those to them indirectly by dropping the gun and the ammo separately). God, I remember the joy in that freshies face when he picked up that M16, before being brutally mauled to death by infected after firing a shot or two. Ah the good old days

The best base is a base In an area with nearly No player trafic A hidden base or not a base but a hidden barrel in a tree or Bush A Car could also be a moving base that way you Can always move to a new area to live in if you feel that you Will soon be discoverd

Word of advice for new players.. only store food/ tools in a base (supplies) and stash guns in crates/ dry bags etc, id also recommend improvised shelters made of sticks, it can be well hidden in the right spot and can last 2-5days without being found, handy if you need to store a few guns until you get a supplies for stash

Solo builders should avoid storing junk. The bigger the lag spike when approaching the base, the richer it appears to potential raiders. Metal gates are also raider magnets. They are practically screaming "This is where the good stuff is".

Since I have recently started to take dayz more serious again and I am way deep into a grind. I myself started thinking about a good base location fitting for my solo playstyle. I went into dayz offline mode and started flying around the map to spot good locations faster. I recommend that to everyone. I did find a spot I am happy with right now, tho I am not sure if its that good. It is at a crossroad in the middle of Novaya Petrovka, opposite of the street going up to the big apartments. Its a orange corner building with 2 floors. On second floor is a room completly isolated, only 1 door way to enter it. I thought thats a good spot because its just big enough for a solo, its easy to secure with just 1 gate, it is in a building I believe not many people go into, especially the room I chose, since there is no windows and because the overall location is close to high gear areas such as tisy and some events happen around it, such as heli crashes, military convoys and police situations. What do you guys think of it?

On the small barn with straw in the corner, I put a fence and barbed wire top and bottom, shut the doors inside and locked them.

I think I would probably sub if you put out some more in-depth, longer form videos. The sub-5 minute ones are probably good for the algorithm but to me they always feel rather lacking.

They're not great for the algorithm with a channel like mine if I'm honest. The reason they're short is because I cut the padding. Lots of KZbinrs stretch their video with overexplainations and babbling for more ads. I just want to make a simple video, give the information as quickly as possible and let the player get back to gaming. But my videos always contain just as much information as the majority of other videos that are often three times as long =]

I never considered any of those areas as base potential, I either aim for a Police station or fire station, fire station being one of my current bases die to 3 doors for 3 vehicles, upstairs storage room, roof access for sniping, if you got a lock pick, lock all non-essential doors permanently. Would be a better base for teams

Very high risk of raiding and a lot of servers ban bases in them places because it monopolises loot. Whenever I see a base somewhere like that my instinct is to note it down and come back later to raid xD

I'd be in the middle of nowhere with tents set up in various areas neither near nor far from towns and villages so I decentralise my resources, so if one place goes, I still got other spots with valuable stocks

@@whitehorsemilitia That's a good way to do it. I mostly rely on stashes for that reason, but I'll sometimes set up bases in hard-to-reach places, build a billion walls, dozens of tents and barrels and then leave nothing in the base just to troll.
