However...I think he would be the first to tell you that rapping into a microphone in an air conditioned studio with unlimited mulligans is a completely different thing than wearing cotton on a 100 degree stage in front of 2000 people who paid 100's of dollars each to be there. Of course you can produce things in a studio that are more intricate...it's not a flex and Weird Al would say so himself.

Talentwise, Al is probably one of the best working rappers. I know that isn't going to go over well but just look at white and nerdy, amish paradise, and all about the pentiums. As much credit as Al deserves, and to be frank, he deserves a lot of credit, he has also kept the same band members for most of his career as well, those guys have a tremendous range of talent as well so my hats off to them as well as Al for the many years of laughs and music they have helped provide.

This is mind-blowing. Like not everybody is going to realise the skill required to do all of this, especially if they don't know the show/music as well. Hamilton is a notoriously tricky show vocally, and not only did he speed it up in places, but did all the parts and harmonies. This is why he has been in the industry so long, not only his great and palatable songs, but the talent and creativity behind it all. Often times parody and comedy art takes more skill than people give it credit for.

@@IncredibleMD There were worse founding fathers than Hamilton. The only contributions he made that went through were accepted by the other founding fathers. It was really a group effort that gave us problems. Miranda did not turn Hamilton into some kind of God. He created something that showed a number of our founders, and a handful of women involved with them, as human rather than something to worship. Alexander does not come off as any kind of hero. His wife, however, was awesome and deserved better.

When I clicked to watch how Weird Al transformed Hamilton, I didn’t expect to see the original cast members performing. That was the icing on the cake of this parody by Mr. Yankovic. And seeing his interview with Dan Rather several years ago, makes me appreciate this under appreciated art form even more. Al makes it look and seem so easy when it is any but easy. I have been a fan of Mr. Yankovic’s for decades and I think I may have an album or two of his in my collection (yes, the vinyl kind of album). Weird Al is an American treasure and has earned a spot in the Rock and Roll HoF.

The funniest part though... the Tea Tax lowered the price of tea to make it competitive. The colonial tea industry rose up and dumped it to remove a competitor not strike a blow for democracy and freedom. Their colonial neighbors weren’t happy about it. Another myth created at the Centennial.
