Thank-you for saying dark eyeliner all around eyes makes your eyes look smaller. I have small eyes and people have argued with me that if I line top AND bottom , it will "open up my eyes". I tell them, "what looks bigger, a picture with a black frame, or a picture with a white frame?"
@alexandra79502 жыл бұрын
True I like my eyes smaller so I put black in my waterline and a bit below
@natsen042 жыл бұрын
I think if you put some dark eyeshadow to line under your eyes, but do not put anything on your water line, it will make your eyes appear larger. Putting eyeliner on the water line makes eyes look much smaller.

I'm so excited for you to talk about drawing on eyeliner in the most flattering way, because I'm under the impression the line should angle from the corner of the eye to the end of the brow. Everybody I've seen goes way more horizontally with it, and that looks incongruous.

Wow wow wow... this was so good and so easy to understand! I have prominent eyes (thank you btw for mentioning them, its hard to find many tutorials for this eye shape) but they are downturned at the outer corner + I have naturally low thick brows (thinning them out has not seemed to flatter my eyeshape more) so from the front they look a bit hooded. I always struggled from fear of blending up too high so I kept everything on the lid only. I also always struggled with looking even sleepier with makeup and I felt uncomfortable with having more night-time suited eyeshadow at work (even if it got the most compliments). I'm going to try this look, maybe with my bronzer or contour shade as well to see what I like most. It looks so natural and perfect for daily/daytime. Thank you, I am always happy to watch your videos ❤️

I’m confused by the use of the term, “crease.” Sometimes it seems to be the physical crease between the lower and upper lid, and sometimes it is a new line drawn with shadow ABOVE where the actual physical crease is.
@katiechasm2 жыл бұрын
This always confused me as someone with monolid/hooded eyes. I've had the best results with ignoring any actual physical folds and just following the top of the eyeball shape. And then blending that line up a bit higher as well like in the video
@sebumpostmortem2 жыл бұрын
Technically the crease is what you described: the skin fold. Buuut,... Since there are uncountable eyeshapes, you can place it wherever you want (Alyona placed it way above her real skin fold🤷🏻♀️). People with different epicanthus types are the masters of recreating all kind of new ones. Drags reposition it over the actual covered brow, so the fake brow ends on the middle of the forhead🙆🏻♀️😅 I' m getting older and there' some sagging skin. I ignore it and draw a new one (where it was before gravity did its job). About the brows,...it makes no sense at all that the nose is 100% reponsable of their curvature and length🤯. Basically, make sure that the person on the mirror is saying YASSSS with a smile. A MUA 🧛🏻♀️🖤

Hello Aly, beautiful look and thank you for the video I learned a lot. However I do have some suggestions, personally I think using warm tones on your eyes, cheeks and lips would brighten your complexion a lot. I find that the tones you usually use tend to look grey and washed out especially with the nude lip. Anyway this is just my opinion, thank you for reading
