parks gave it away. in fact, most of the points ruse won, were won on the back of mistakes by parks. at this level you can't spend an entire match reacting and defending. you have to have some initiative and be more aggressive and make your opponent have to work for their points. parks is just too passive for this level. ruse seemed to have wanted it more.

it is a bad sign with players start hanging out with Townsend, a player who is un-coachable. Parks and Fernandez did it this season and have been tanking since in singles. At least Leylah put her singles first in Hong Kong instead of scrambling to qualify in for the WTA finals in doubles
