I looked at about 5-6 videos before settling on this one. It was great, good lighting, very accurate, no moronic music, the explanation was clear and to the point, and we didn't take the unnecessary scenic route. Other videos require you to take too much finnicky stuff off. I found that my "hidden screw" at the back was a 12mm (not 13). I only realized this when I had difficulty putting it back in. I got two quotes before tackling it. You save me about $360 at the local garage and about $450 at the dealership ($160 per hour). If you were closer I would buy you a beer, or two or three. I couldn't take the manifold all the way out but got to change sparks and coil packs, one thing I forgot to change was the gasket and Now I'm getting a lot of smoke. What is the name of the big hose against the firewall that's being held by that 13mm bolt? Does it have something to do with coolant? I ask because I think I messed it up and the smoke is coming from a leak of coolant from that hose because I smelled some coolant.
@alyoungcuda14 күн бұрын
There is nothing related to coolant on the intake manifold or anything bolted to it, hence the lack of draining any antifreeze or coolant from the system. But in the back there are the heater hoses and pipes connected to the firewall to the engine that runs antifreeze. You must of hit or moved something in that general area that has something to do with the antifreeze flow. But definitely change that intake plenum gaskets or you will end up with an air leak which in turn will give you a slight rough running engine and a check engine light. Those plenum gaskets, once they are used and crushed they will never give a perfect seal again..good luck and post what you found for the leak and of course thanks for watching too...

@@alyoungcuda yes that 13mm in the back...i found that NOT that hard to remove and install - the trick I used was using both my hands - one hand to hold the bolt in place and the other hand with a 13mm short ratchet. The problem I had was the removing the vertical hose to the side - the clamp had the prongs faced the other way. It was easier for me to reinstall the manifold AFTER connecting this hose. THANKS so much for your DIY video! I saw a handful of these videos on youtube before waiting 140,549 original miles on my 2009 Murano (don't judge haha) to change the plugs and coil packs...and I found your video the best! Great video... I have some oil in plug cylinder 2. Are you in California? 2019 murano.. 53k miles
@alyoungcuda11 ай бұрын
No, on the opposite coast, seems like you have a leaking o ring seal. Its part of a valve cover gasket set.

Does this works for Pathfinder 2013 too?
@alyoungcuda3 жыл бұрын
If its the same engine yes..sometimes there might be something else in the way of brackets and stuff but the basics is the same.

I just can't understand why they didn't put the engine straight, I fixed miner in a easier way, trade it in before 100k miles ..worked like a charm.

I did everything you said. Right now engine cranking but not start

Go back and see what you left off..sounds like a wire or connection you took off..start from the beginning in your head in the order you removed things

should this work for a 2012 murano
@alyoungcuda2 жыл бұрын
If its the same size engine, then yes
@LoveTrinity032 жыл бұрын
thank you so Much! I think the person working my murano put the wrong size spark plugs in, am checking them on Amazon and they say it's not a fit. Your video literally saved me from this mechanic messing with the engine. Your video has truly saved me from a major headache 🙂
@alyoungcuda2 жыл бұрын
@@LoveTrinity03 if you have the spark plug number that the guy put in, you can check on autozone.com under your car and engine to see if its one of the many ones they sell to see if its correct

Man you are a hero.. just checked and yes they are a match and they are good quality spark plugs 🙂 I would be absolutely lost if I didn't come across this video, thank God for KZbin and helpful videos like Yours! 🙏😊
