I’m a flyer so when I’m in the air or going up I’m always squeezing my whole body and locking my knees make sure you flyer is doing this if she does squeeze and lock her legs it should be much easier getting her up

Purple Diamonds be tight. this is rlly weird but pretend u have a penny between ur butt. and make sure not to heal or toe. that causes distress on ur bases. u want to make the stunt easier for u bases. (if ur a flyer). just b very tight

i have 6 toes welllll i’m not a flyer lmao IM A BASE. but what i can tell you is when it comes to your extension libs, stay tight. squeeze your core and focus on being still. trust your bases as well. if you feel that they aren’t holding your foot right let them know and tell them what you feel. full downs... HONEY 😂 i feel bad because i can’t tell you anything about those, i just know how to base them

IGAV gymnastics when you’re in the air just focus on remaining tight and keeping your legs locked at all times. it could be the way your backspot is catching you. honestly your backspot has to find out what she can do to prevent it because it’s honestly no way for you to stop that from happening.

I had the same issue. Try to spread or curl your toes, another helpful hack is to fly on the balls of your feet! Hope this helps!

It’s kinda hard for me to do libs and I have to really focus and like be really right to stay up but my face looks like ugly in stunts I hate it so much I always forget to relax my face but it’s so hard to do when you’re focusing on hitting the stunt

i have nationals on saturday and sunday and i got put into the routine yesterday. im very stressed on hitting the stunts :// im a flyer, and my elite stunt is a low to high to a teddy bear up to a half and to a full up and ive only been doing it for like 2 days

Ugh, I need to show this to the ppl in my stunt group, I’m a flyer, and they’re always rushing the stunts. Me and the 2 bases think that they are a good distance apart (so do I), but our backspot tells them they need to come closer. It’s uncomfortable for all of us but her. The reason she says this is because when we went to stunt clinic they told her that her stunt group(not us) needed to come closer. So any advice??

Well it depends on how far apart your bases are. My cheer coach makes us go really close to eachother because when we do extensions and especially extention libs, we have to be really close. My coach said we should pretty much be boob to boob. Hope this helps, but idk how how your coach wants you guys to be.

Cheerleading is very mental. You need to be able to face your fears and get rid of those barriers or you won’t be able to hit. Trust that your bases will catch you and trust yourself to hit

We’ll just think your going to be doing extensions soon, I do Lib extensions and I am horrified of the half up to that we do at comps, right now it’s at prep lib cuz we couldn’t hit but next training were gonna do it to extension. just squeeze and lock don’t be worried oh have bases, if you lock and squeeze you won’t fall.

Quivonna Thompson basing: stay shoulder width apart to stop the flyers legs opening too much and also when backspotting try to take a lot of weight from the bases so they have an easier jump

As a backspot just really make sure you always catch her, doesn’t matter if you get hurt do not let the flyer hit the ground, and always lift up and squeeze her ankles to lift weight from the bases and helps the flyers feel not move. If she starts to stumble try to push her back up if you can.

I struggle a little with loading once I’m in the air I’m fine but I tend to froggy or jump in with my knees apart and feet together and I can’t seem to fix it any tips?

Make sure your bases hands are together and stay tight. You have to pull your feet together when loading in your bases can’t do that for you. Hope this helps! (Sorry I’m really late)

i’m not a flyer but i do have some tips for you if you are a flyer: make sure to strengthen your core and squeeze your butt. it sounds weird but it really helps you keep your strength and balance while in the air. also try your best to not toe or heel, the main thing is to just have faith and trust in your bases.

Ok so I'm a new base in my stunt group and my flyers new we were barely able to hit a straight up extinction but she expected us to hit a straight up lib extinction she didn't demonstrate all she did was tell us what to do then expect us to do it first try
