My mom divorced my biological father before I was born. He cheated on my mother while she was pregnant with my older brother and was physically abusive. After that man, my mom didn't want to date. Until she met a nice guy they dated and got married. She divorced him 3 days later. He wasn't that caring husband she once thought and quickly realized that he too was abusive. After her second failed marriage she gave up. Then she met him. The person I call dad. He has been an amazing father and wonderful husband to my mom. They have been together for 19 years. Brittani don't give up. I know your not ready yet and it will take some trial and error. Just take your time and don't let your past define you.

I was cheated on in 2 relationships in a row and gas lighted in both. I was so done. I was never going to date again and I meant it. I met my husband a month later. We were friends at first and we have been married for 12 years now. All that to day, do what you want and you feel is best. Try to ignore that feeling if being pressured. You are amazing on your own and Rex is lucky to have an amazing mom!

I’m going through a terrible divorce and custody battle with an abusive man right now and I just want to say your book has been so helpful to me and gave me so much validation on my own experiences because you feel crazy and defeated when you are living in that hell. I also live in CA where everything is all about father’s rights and it’s terrifying to go through the court system and speak out against the abuse because often times when women do, the children end up with the abuser(for those who don’t believe me really look into family court in CA-it’s horrifying and depressing). I am so incredibly happy for you and proud of your bravery for not just standing up for yourself and your own child, but every single other woman and child going through the same situation. In order to fight the abuse and change the system we collectively need to start doing this but it takes so much courage. I wish you and Rex so much happiness ❤️.

I know that youtubers and mothers in particular usually don't like advice about their children, but I have a BA in communication disorders and I think that just to be safe (I know he only just turned 2) you should take him to an Audiologist first (if you can't hear you can't talk) and then a speech therapist for just some basic language testing. Some times you can get speech therapy for free if there's a University nearby that has a non-profit clinic. They also do hearing screenings at clinics like that as well so you wouldn't need an audiologist. I'm sure you've been through a lot and I agree that you need to be okay with yourself before you start dating. I did that and it worked out. The golden rule for speech for children is one word phrases for 1 year olds, 2 word phrases for two year olds, and so on up until 5 yrs. If you can't understand what he is saying most of the time then I would definitely get him checked out just to be sure. I don't know the whole story but if Milos was around him at all during his development it could have affected his speech, but I don't know that part of your life without reading your book. Anyway if you want more information about speech and language development I suggest you go to ASHA's website or pinterest because they actually have some good information for parents. Love you and have been watching off and on since I started watching Shane when he first started on youtube. You are very strong! You got this mom!

The first incident was at a mall in Virginia, and the second incident was at Cedar Point. Both times sketchy guys followed me around (they were in their 30s or 40s). The one at the mall stopped following me once my mom and I reached security at the movie theatre in it. You're a really, really strong woman. If I had the money I'd buy it right now and read the entire thing in 1 day guaranteed. When I have the money I'll buy it for sure. I'm just really glad you're doing so much better now than how it was before. I hope the best for you.

I finally figured out that you dont need a man to continue living your life. I right now are hung up on someone and i dont see my self moving on any time soon. But what is important is i know that i can continue my life and live to the best of it and be positive about my self. And that is where you can be truly happy

It will happen when you are ready. Don't let anyone rush you. Lost my husband almost 5 years ago. Within a few months people would ask about me dating. I went on one after a year just because I felt pressured to do so. It was an old HS friend and we had a good time... but that's it. I just don't feel like dating. I'm not ruling it out. I'm only 53. But my life is mine and I don't feel the need to find anyone and that's perfectly fine.
