Infamous is a pretty special game to me. It came around a time when i wanted to branch out into other games besides the platformers i was use to, and i remember being really invested in the plot. Did the game age poorly? Sure. But when the gameplay is as good as it is i personally can't complain much. I love the game a great deal, it's even the inspiration behind my user name, but the sequel does everything good about this game and triples it. I for one can't wait for you review Infamous 2 :D

Damn shame Sony didn't let us play PS3 games on the PS5. Lots of great exclusives that are trapped on the PS3. Resistance Fall of Man, Killzone 2, MGS4, etc. Microsoft is doing backwards compatibility right. Sony barely even tried and Nintendo didn't bother at all.

As for Sly Cooper, from a retrospective KZbin series. It sounded like Sly cooper was only meant to be a trilogy. The 4th game undid a lot stuff from the 3rd one that was meant to end the franchise. The 4th game also sold worse despite releasing on both PS3 and PS Vita.

Nice shirt, dude. Also, great video. You were spot on about how weird the morality system was handled and I especially like how you're the only reviewer of this game who understands how good people can misplace blame when their lives gone down the toilet and the world around them is ending. There was a lot of that at my work when COVID entered America and people were stressing out over finances and fear that things would never be the same. This was early this year when everything was about to shut down, and while not nearly as comparable, I'm surprised that critics REALLY don't understand how even the best of us can sometimes blame people for things not their fault.

I think the point of the George Stinney Jr. segment is that he was executed by misogynistic white supremacists (some might even happen to be grandparents of Derek Chauvin) that are no better than Cole MacGrath (when people turn him into a bad guy between the two choices of whether they want to make him either amazing or evil).

I’ve owned the game for over a decade and played it at least 8 times but never knew that you could charge dead lights and drain your own power til u brought it up in the vid. Holy Crap

Yeah, sadly you can only do it in one, inFAMOUS 2 doesn't allow that and I don't know about Second Son because I haven't played it yet.

If I may, TGX, I think I might know which Blast Shard is eluding you. In the top-right corner of the Neon District, there’s a dock house. Right next to it, in the water, is a series of platforms that you need the Static Thrusters to get to. There’s one out there

As usual a great video, 53 minutes genuinely flew by! I actually got this along with inFamous 2 in December and just finished this, I agree it is good but has aged roughly. Overall a 7/10 I'd say. The plot being resolved in comics is a sucky move, along with some plain underdeveloped ideas. The soundtrack I really didn't notice much tbh. The presentation was cold and gloomy and I think it works in making this game feel unique in the ruined times it is set in.

Good review. I pretty much played the game for gameplay only, so it was interesting hearing you tear into the story. I never thought about how little sense it made, tho I did like the twist ending. Also appreciate you mentioning when a character might not mean what they say when they are distressed. So many people treat as hard canon whatever someone says, but theres more nuance than that. I am honestly a bit baffled how highly you rank the sequel, as I prefer the original. But I look forward to your take. I really love the setting of the sequel, but think the combat is a downgrade. Also I am a bit salty as I had a bug in Infamous 2 that made me repeat missions I already completed which was annoying.

I love Infamous so much, Infamous 2 as well But both games are super rough around the edges, the core is super strong, the stories are really good mostly, and the characters are all pretty good to being awesome. But they're both so rough.

Metal gear solid 4 had one if the best graphics of that gen and character models and that came out 08. Gta and the last of us came out the tail end and was very close to beating mgs 4.

Ohh, I remember the first time I played this one. In 2016, I bought a new ps3 that was “not new” due to the hacking process. Man told me that I would be able to run any game on it for free, so I downloaded infamous 1 from a torrent and started to play. Everything was working fine, but my FPS was jumping up and down like a whore on a penis, and I thought that the problem was in a illegal thing. Thanks for pointing out that the FPS problem isn’t connected with legality.

I think there's one in the Historic District that's really high up, so it doesn't trigger on the minimap. I remember that being my last one.
